      Im sure he was back training yesterday. I cant see him starting saturday, but if he as at least ok to play last half or something, that would be class.

      Nichol actually made a good point about Thiago. He said better to start with him and if he cant manage bring him off but if you bring him on after 60 mins and have to bring him off after 70 or 80 that would be a huge problem. So I actually agree start him.

      Yep, if he's fit you start him i think, that way you only burn one sub if he doesn't last. Fingers crossed him and Fabinho are able to play and play at their best. City absolutely dominated the ball against this lot, our lads are capable of the same. Dominate possession and if we lose it, get after them. Modric and Kroos can absolutely kill us IF they have time and space.

      Sincerely hope he plays a part in the game tomorrow, god knows he deserves to, he'll be gutted if he misses out, this game is meant for him.

      This could be the difference tomorrow. I think if he is fit enough to be on the pitch for a bit we start him and see where we land in the second half.

      He played okay, he had some moments on the ball and he won some battles in middle but wasn't the type of performance where he dictated the play and controlled the middle like we know he can do.

      Just happy he came away from preseason without injury

      Totally upto speed with our game now, his tackling is spot on now. Add that to his total football skills we have one of the best midfielders in the world.

      class act.

      Klopp saying it looks like a bad one so probably 3 months out.

      Not what we needed.

      With Klopp saying that injuries will be the only reason we dip back into the market with Thiago news wonder if we will pull the trigger on a signing or trust in Naby/Elliott to fill the void while he is out.

      Either way disappointing for Thiago, I know we would probably have to manage his minutes because he has fitness issue but for this to happen right off away is frustrating for everyone.

      Thiago only has half a season of fitness in him max.

      Same with Keita.

      We have huge issues in midfield already now.

      It will cost us.

      Thiago going down really does suck, but it may be a blessing in disguise. We needed to be active in the market to compete with City. I hate that Thiago is hurt, but let's be real, it was only a matter of time. He is world class when fit, and Kieta is a strong player, albeit a step down from Thiagos class. However, relying on either of them for any length of time is asking for trouble.

      Jones and Ox are good players, but when your competing on every front, you need better. They're squad cover at best. I could see us selling one of them and going for a upgrade at MF, as cover and the future.

      He’s starting to remind me of Sturridge. A ludicrously gifted footballer that just can’t be relied upon. Such a shame.  If it is bad as reported (I’d guess with a hammy that’s 4 weeks minimum) that’s such a F***ing blow. Has a team ever had so many injuries in the first week of august ffs?!
