Could sworn they've replaced the best manager we've had in decades with a guy who has us flying top of the league and in Europe.

      I'll take that for now.

Saves me spending time day in day out wingeing about stuff out of my control

Donny boy is part of the crew that while Klopp was here screamed from heaven to hell that we would be screwed if Jürgen ever left because he did everything and worked miracles.

Arne fitting in so smoothly shows us how good we were at identifying him as the successor and how well we are run as an organization, which Jürgen had a massive impact on.

Not sure if he's injured or just lacking fitness but I'm sure he'll be desperate to get involved. May be hard wth the form of the team. For me, even if he just contributes something important at some point in the season I'll be happy. Like a late winner against Utd followed by a Marco Tardelli celebration would do. Hunger and impact when called upon is what we need.

From what I have read they are bringing him up to fitness as each week goes by - there is no rush for him to play with the options we have at the moment

Buying Chiesa was always going to be a significant gamble. A player who has a very high ceiling but has had a major injury and may never get back to the player he was a few years ago.

Currently Mo is playing very well and Mo gets angry if the manager subs him off during a game. We want Mo to sign a new contract so don't sub him off. Chiesa is always likely to have limited game time as Mo is 1 of the best players in the league. We want Chiesa to get fit so there is a bit of back up but he's probably only going to get league cup and FA cup games.

In the future, if Mo leaves or gets older and has less minutes, Doak might become the preferred RW in the team and Chiesa will probably still have limited opportunities.

There is also a possibility that I'm underestimating him and he will fully recover from the injury and be 1 of the bargains of the season.

      He's started 1 game....his 3 appearances haven't even mounted to 1 full game....

So perhaps we were just trying to ease him in? He was in team training at the time and wasn't injured.....to my knowledge he still isn't. Now I'm no doctor but I don't see how he'd have been any closer to full fitness had he not played for the club yet?

Ease him in fine . Hasn't played for over a month after easing him in . What was he doing over the summer months ? If he hasn't gained fitness yet to manage cameos and there are no.injuries I am sorry but that's not stacking up

Think it's more reaching peak fitness or at least up to a level where he's able to partake in all the sessions continuously and it's meeting that aspect he's either struggling or needs more time which we're allowing him with.

I'm sure he is able to play another 60-70mins on Sunday but it'd effectively be another West Ham showing...

Just another Arthur Melo type of transfer. Was there ever one Italian player that was actually good at our club?

Seems to be bad luck as he doesn’t normally pick up niggles

My guess is and I may be wrong is that we are trying to get him more fit than he was even when at his peak in Italy

We know premier league is a more intense league and our training is more intense too and his body needs to adapt to the leagues style of play and ours. He’s the type of player who is going to be kicked a lot

We need him though fit, he may be able to play in that final offensive midfield role and then we may not need to buy a cm in jan and can focus on a cb

Tbf it's not as if we ever signed the likes of Pirlo, Verratti, Inzaghi, Buffon, Vieri, Zola, Baggio is it? We ended up signing terrible players (besides maybe Aqua & thar was more down to injuries than anything) and quelle surprise, ended up terribly.

Chiesa is a quality player, once he gets a few protein shakes and bars down him he'll be grand.
