Didnt train today apparently and neither did chiesa. Odd really ... finished saturday all smiles after completing the 90 and Chiesa didnt even get on against wolves.

Hopefully just a precaution on both.

I would not play him since we have other options.

Gakpo, Darwin and Salah as starting three and   I would replace him for Salah around the 65th minute.

Should not go away with Portugal then. Keep him at home!

That goal today was a work of old school striker perfection.

      Robbie Fowler-esque. A lost art.

He's the closest instinctive finisher we've had since Fowler for me.

Could and maybe should have had 3. But has that instinct to be in the right place at the right time. Such an intelligent player as well. Hopefully he is just warming up. I think he will bag 20 plus this season.

Out of tomorrows game then. Pity as he does well against Arsenal.

A player fell on him last season and injured him and its happened again.

Jota is an amazing finisher and underrated off the ball, but he just doesn't seem to have that dog in him. It seems he doesn't tolerate pain well, whereas there are some that are just ablento play through it constantly.

Absolutely. I don't want it to seen I don't understand that, because I do. But sometimes there's a difference in being hurt and being injured. If you're injured than you can't play. But if you're hurt sometimes it's something you can overcome or deal with.

Well , he was brought back too early and tore his calf that bad in a game against city he was out 5 months.

The fella who fell on his leg last season damaged his knee ligaments. Thankfully not the Acl. I think it was the meniscus.

Then last week his ribcage was damaged. Not really something you can play through, but he tried none the less and neither were the others.

Its not like a keita situation or thiago situation.

Tbh what I think Breeding is more referring to is how Danny Sturridge used to be, as you say in the previous post, it was more of an impact injury, if anything to change to Nunez actually suited us especially with the graft Darwin out in. Swings and roundabouts!!

Being landed out by a big lump of a centre back doesn't help

He’s injury prone there’s no doubt. Barely gets through a 50 50 without being out for a few weeks.

He’s a good player but just not reliable enough to be a first choice option.

He came off the bench twice fine and then started away at Arsenal fine before he got injured v City.

      Hardly rushed back.

..to Diego that doesn't happen to others.

How unlucky to get injured twice the way he has.

Gut wrenching...and he never comes back quick!!!

Dammit, out for a month. I love thisnguy soon much, but we can't depend on him for any length of time. If Darwin doesn't pick up his form we probably need to look into a long term dependent CF for the future.
