Didn't a player land on when he got injured? That would explain it!!
Yeah that bloke landed on him (my memory is terrible so cannot recall the opponent) when he was running through towards the Annie road end.
He is brittle that's for sure. When he get a knock it tends to be one that keeps him out a while, whereas a more durable player it wouldn't be as severe. It's just the physical make up of players that determines it. Anderton (sick note) was always out with minor niggles. Our own Jamie Redknapp seemed to get hurt easier too.
Think Jota is a good option, bit wouldn't see him as an automatic. If he isn't scoring he can be quiet, while Nunez, not the same class of finisher, is rarely quiet.
Our best front three with everyone fit, at the minute (yet to really know where Chiesa ranks) its Gakpo, Diaz and Mo. Diaz for me is 2nd only to Mo as he is a constant menace. Gakpo when the midfield is on top and he is involved is quality, but when the midfield is second best he can be anonymous. He is not one to dig in.
If we bought a top class #9, say Isak, it would be Diaz, Isak and Mo.
