I’m sure the noise was that it would likely be in to next month before we seen him involved. Whether that’s all injury or training as well to get him up speed given lack of preseason I’m not sure.

Look forward to see DJ back in action !

Surprised there is no love for Jota after the Ajax game, surprised he started given the lack of pre season but he looked pretty good out there.

Hopefully will get some minutes with Portugal to get his fitness up (cross fingers doesn't get hurt) and come back ready and contributing.

Underrated by many but personally always liked him and rate him quite highly.

Jota is the future he was along with Diaz a really aggressive press just what Jürgen asked for he will be fine

Didn't look anymore likely to score than Nunez for me. Kind of had a tepid end to the season and looks like he's still getting his feet under him. Would love to see the player that was on fire after he joined us. Defensively he's still got some work to do (don't they all though at this point).

Yes, it's true. A shame, he has had a very good first half of the season, then his from dropped, like Salah.

But he's a natural striker, like Mane his is very direct and as soon as he gets the ball, he's going forward. He'll score if he plays, wherever he plays.

Certainly made his presence felt against Ajax. His pass the other night for Salah to score. Glad to see Jota back in the side !

I agree - for me he’s ahead of Darwin.

Our front three played much more like we are used to seeing mid-week, three mobile players interchanging and causing problems with their movement. Fingers crossed Jota can keep himself fit. He would be in my starting 11 every week, the goals will come.

Agreed, best fit at a starting 11 player for where we are atm. He's the middle ground between Nunez and Bob.

Biggest problem for Jota is that the goals have literally dried up, he's currently 16(?) appearances without one.

Fits the theme of our attack really. Blistering start to last season and very little goal return from him, Salah and Bobby since the New Year.
