I think himself, mo & Nunez could all get into the 20's easily.

Didn't he get 27 or so during the double season? Kept us afloat whilst Mo was at the afcon and then struggling for form after the afcon . Jota just gets on with it.

Big blow losing Jota for at least a month I imagine. Doubt we will see him till next year now. Gutted.

It will be great to have him back, Jota certainly has the ability, to produce goals, especially with Mo away in the new year.

According to the injuries web site, due back 26th Jan.

So long as he is back and fully fit in time for us losing Salah. We will 100% need him firing then.

Along with Mo , our most important attacker. Great player and realise even more how good he is when he isn't there.

Was hoping he'd be back for united but he'd realistically need to be back in full training tomorrow or Thursday latest to have a chance I think.

Doubt it makes this weeks games, but rest assured, he will be scoring his annual goal against Arsenal in a win at Anfield in less than 2 weeks time.

Any news on Jota. Need him back desperately to add some potency and creativity up top.

Newcastle I think last update might make bench for Burnley at best

Best finisher in the team and by far the second most important forward at the club. You'll notice that even on a bad day he can still turn up with a goal or two despite an otherwise bland performance. A forward's job is first and foremost to score goals. Him and Mo are the two forwards you feel you can't afford to not have on the pitch even on a bad day because they are first and foremost goal scorers and therefore they can turn up with a goal at any moment.

Didn't take this lad long to make his impact.

Not sure whether to try him in Salah's position during afcon.

Until then either through the middle or on the left.

What a player no pissing about just a great finish, unlike most

Always had the knack of getting important goals and finishing with clinical precision from unlikely angles.  Did have a bad patch following injury last season when many doubted his value but he is such a class finisher you don't lose that and will be our most valuable forward when Mo is away. 50 goals up as well. He is actually slight better than 1 in 2 when you look at mins played, which is very respectable. .58 to Mo's .68

Yup, that and somehow jumping and heading like he's 6ft2. He somehow is always in the correct spot in the box to get a seemingly free header, but its clearly smart striker's instincts not oppositions defences just being incompetent and he heads those almost as hard as a kick.

Little gem of a player. May he stay healthy!!!

Has to be in our starting 11. No way he isn't one of our top 3 attackers. For most he's number 2. Definitely for me. Best finisher, for sure

Really need Diogo to stay fit till season's end. Absolute boss finisher...
