Great to see Jota back, with a trade mark goal. Keep fit, for the rest of the season.

Just remembering the reaction all over social media when the club decided not to go for Werner and went for Jota instead

He is a type of striker that does not have (or need) many shots on target  but when he has one, it is always deadly.

I wish for a stat that observe his conversion rate.

I thought DJ was brilliant when he came on yesterday!!  He completely made that 2nd goal -- pulled away from the defenders and into space,  pointed to tell Darwin exactly where he wanted the pass, then dribbled and waited for the defense to drop just a touch too deep and played a beautifully disguised pass to Lucho to smash home.  Diogo is a clinical finisher, but he's got so much more to his game than just goals.

He just carries the ball so well, he done the same to set up Diaz when we were at 0-0 and it was pretty much our first chance of the game.

I fall more and more in love with this lad every game.

Sign him up, don't even let him have a decision to make when it comes to a contract renewal.

The Mans football brain is wonderful, knows where to be, when to be.

How F***ing good was that pass for Darwin to score his first?

Mo would have been proud of that assist.

And if you watch in the background whenever we score, he celebrates like no one else. He loves us and we love him!

Keep on scoring for fun Diogo!!!

I always find that the way he reacts instinctively to situations reminds me of Suarez a bit (not comparing them as players, just this aspect of their game). Suarez would also occasionally miscontrol or mishit a ball, but then react almost immediately and rescue a situation that looked lost. Jota also does that, his second goal today is a very good example of it.

Hard to believe this time last year he was in the middle of going an entire 12 months without a goal.

There’s a stat floating around twitter somewhere - his ‘expected goals’ is 50 and he’s scored 52 or something.

      He just needs one chance

He's super deadly. When he's fully fit, he's unplayable.

Said something along the lines of "We are Liverpool, its what we do" for someone who isn't always a dead cert starter his attitude is brilliant, obviously got the talent to go with it.

Great player and to think some on here never rated him and wanted him out. 😂 I even got called out saying he should be first player on the team sheet.    :lmao:

I'd probably have Jota behind only Fowler and Torres in terms of a natural finisher for us in the PL era.

Love the fella, such a great professional, speaks well  whenever he does interviews and he's a class and clinical act on the pitch. The follow up to his mishit inside the box was never going anywhere other than the back of the net..

Gotta have Rush in there, even if he was past his best by the time the Premier League had come about.

And he might not be favoured by Liverpool fans any more but Owen was deadly in front of goal.

Jota gives the team more than the others (probably with the exception of Rushie).
