yeah I thought last night he was the only one, along with Robbo, who showed some drive when he came on.

Feel that he should clearly start against Brighton on Saturday, in the lunchtime  kick off.

Present form first name on team sheet out of the front four obviously rotation will be play a part where all 4 will be switched and spend some time out

To quote War Of The Worlds ...

"With minds immeasurably superior to ours ..."   the club's analysts and transfer team did it again in buying Jota.

As a comparison , Adama Traore was noted by the commentator on MOTD tonight in the Arse v Wolves game as having not scored in 2020.

That save from their keeper to deny Jota's volley...gutted, what great instincts Diogo has.

Picked up a knee injury against Midjyland. Not sure why any of them played in midweek to be honest. They put in some pretty strong tackles as they did in the first game.

Not sure how severe yet but certainly an injury we could have done without.

That's on Jürgen. You don't play you top boys in meaningless games excactly for this very reason.

Does anyone remember him injuring his knee? All I remember is someone standing on his foot. He went off in 87th minute and looked ok, didn’t he???

Yeah Salah and Jota, our 2 most inform strikers, both played almost the whole of an utterly pointless match. Baffling decision from Jürgen.

Everything is on Jürgen, he’s the boss, are you trying to have a pop at him for some reason? The man that brought us 19 and Big Ears?

Doesn’t mean he is immune to criticism - he has been complaining of the fixture list then plays so many first teamers and even then what was Salah doing playing over 90mins?

I agree with nobody being immune to criticism but with that said, who was he supposed to play?

Those were our fit forwards/wingers for that game:

Jota, Salah, Bobby, Sadio, Taki, Origi

Origi, Minamino and Jota (who are labeled as ''replacement'' to the usual starting front three) were all in that game. Minamino was playing in the midfield because that area is also depleted and players in there need to be rested too which brings us to why Salah was on the pitch. (He was the most logical choice out of the regular front three considering he missed a game due to covid and was subbed off early in a couple of games recently)

He rotated as much as he could. This is just piss poor luck.

Quoted for truth. If a player is going to get hurt, it can happen anywhere at any time.

      The midweek game meant nothing.
So really don't understand Salah and Jota playing pretty much the whole match.
Especially when Jürgen has been complaining so hard about fixture conjestion.
AND given our crazy injury list.
Would be absolutely gutted if we loose Diogo for an extended period.
Injury list is bad enough without shooting ourselves in the foot.  Or the knee  :(

Exactly, this is just poor luck coupled with an environment that is perfect for injuries.

He rotated as much as he could:

LB: rotated in the form Tsimikas (got injured)

LCB: rotated in the form of Rhys

RCB: played fab 45 mins before playing Koumetio (u-23 kid)

RB: Trent played the 90 minutes to regain fitness

CDM: Rotated in the form of Clarkson (u-23 kid)

RCM: Keita playing to regain fitness and subbed off

LCM: Minamino played in there because we had nobody else other than regulars (Henderson, Wijnaldum, and Jones)

LW: Jota was supposed to act as rotation because other than him, there was only Origi who is not a starter who could play and he was already playing

ST: rotated in the form of Origi

RW: Salah because there was no one left to play other than regulars

      Edit:

This is the list of players that were available (on the bench) once that heavily rotated starting XI was fielded: Adrian, Jarosz (GK), Matip, Koumetio,Robbo,Neco, Hendo, Jones, Gini, Jake Cain, Sadio, Bobby

If you factor in that Trent and Keita were playing for match fitness, I don't see which regular he could've rested he did not rest in one way or the other. Short from fielding the whole u-23 team and getting a sh*t ton of criticism (probably from the same people), I don't see what he does to avoid. Poor luck and a particularly agressive Midtjylland team for a game that had nothing significant attached to it, that's all.
