Look forward to Jota, starting to score a few goals, for the Reds, when the current season resumes next week.

His goal celebration was letting his fans know his partner is pregnant with their second child.👏👏

Pretty much expected. I said at the start of the week we wouldn't get through a week of training without an injury. We should be calling in fitness experts to assess our training ... it just causes injuries.

Even worse though was Jota complaining of fatigue in the week with Portugal? He shouldn't have been risked in training.

Pretty much sums us up to be honest. It's past the point of bad luck with injuries. Either our training isn't up to it or we are signing crocks. Such a pith too because diogo in form makes us so much better. His goals last season made a huge difference.

Hope it's bs ... but as we know with these things 99.9 of the time it isn't. I'm just waiting to see who else is missing today after 'picking up a knock' in f*cking training. Frustrating as hell

Just reading Jurgens comments and he said both were not training as a precaution and both were ready and in contention for today.

So I take back my above comment on Jota training when fatigued and picking up an injury. Even if we use one for an hour and the other 2nd half we should have enough to beat Brighton today.

Nevertheless questions have been asked about our training methods and our horrendous injury list while not directly attributable is of great concern.

How many games without a goal before he starts to get questioned?

I've personally never been convinced by him. Told a fellow red a year ago that I think the goals will stop from him. Very happy for him to prove me wrong.

Come on Jota pull your finger out. He likes a goal against these lot too.

      I say he scores tonight.

      Loves playing Arsenal, this lad.

Get on him to score at least 1.

Still deserves to be in the team more than most of your established players at the moment.

Nope but nice assist on the Firmino ball, perfect weighted through ball.

Thought once he went out wide for Diaz he got a lot more into the game, he had his moments attack wise (as did Nunez). Still like him to get off the mark sooner then later.

Still deserves to be in the team more than most of your established players at the moment.

With Diaz out now he will be getting a ton of playing time out wide.

Nothing confirmed but looks like he could be out until next year - what a F***ing joke.

Only Salah, Firmino and Núñez left now.

Carvalho an option as well but agree looking a little thin up top . Nunez will have to go left for the majority and just hope we can get through until WC

Really hope its not the worst grade :(

The Three Grades of Hamstring Injuries:
Grade 1 Hamstring Injury Recovery Time: The lightest injury, usually only a muscle pull or strain. Recovery typically only takes a few days.

Grade 2 Hamstring Injury Recovery Time: This grade includes partial muscle tears. You’ll likely need to take a couple of weeks off from training while it recovers.

Grade 3 Hamstring Injury Recovery Time: A complete muscle tear. This is the most severe degree of hamstring injuries and usually requires several months to heal.

Calf isn’t it? Sounds like 6 weeks at best. Yet another massive blow. Him and Diaz at the same time severely depletes us. Why does this keep happening? Just relentless injuries ffs….

I swear his leg wasn’t that extended to be a grade 3, looked minor to me. But who knows. Fingers crossed it’s max a grade 2.

      Jota update from the echo....

There are fears Diogo Jota has suffered a 'serious injury' having been stretchered off during Liverpool's win over Manchester City.

The former Wolves forward went down to ground late on at Anfield and looked to be in serious discomfort as he was helped off the pitch.

An update provided by the Athletic has claimed there are now worries Jota could miss the World Cup, with his chances of featuring said to be 'in doubt'. The report adds he will have a scan on his calf injury today.
