Healthy 6 points in the bank, healthy clean sheet, Thiago got his first minutes, everybody looked reasonably sharp. Ton of great things to take back home from this game.

I voted Sadio man of the match but I was torn between him and Fab. If he wasn't so good at CDM I'd say just stick him at CB for the rest of the season. Every time he played there I start off stressed bc he's not a natural CB and after 30 minutes I'm much more relaxed than I am with Gomez or Matip as VVD's partner.

I'm happy!

To come in after signing 2 days ago, and looking so assured and like he just belonged, is tantalising thinking about how good he’ll be when he truly settles!

Great result, was torn between Fab and Sadio for MOTM, but went for Mr Cool for his non stop effort and goals. Was also happier with Trent and VVD today, great result all round, and need to see Bobby get his mojo back.

Fab MOTM for me, made Werner look average and was the epitome of cool in defence. Well done Ali as well on his penalty save. Must be disheartening to be one man down and see the opposition bring Thiago on.

Get in Champions, good performance did what we had to do, not really tested, Fab fab at the back had Werner in his pocket all day, but for Sadio he would be my motm, but Sadio steals it for me, brilliant from him, phenomenal work rate, brilliant header and that second was absolutely fantastic, what a player he is.


Thiago bossed it when he came on, 45 minutes of sheer class, you can tell the admiration he has from his fellow peers, they all gave him the ball, ultimate respect right there, hope Hendo’s injury isn’t too bad.


Comfortable win, clean sheet ,totally dominated,  good solid performance, joint top with Arse and some shitty club in blue on gd.

Will also allow faster transition from midfield to attack if we play Thiago-Hendo-Naby/Gini.

Can't decide between Fab and Mane for MOTM - will go for Mane, made the run that got them to 10 men, then got two good goals. But Fab was fab at CB.

Turned into a Sunday stroll.
Even in the first half, though we didn't score, had like 70% possession or something ridiculous.

Wonder if Chavs fans will be a bit disappointed with Fat Franks tactics, they didn't really have a go, just parked the bus and tried on the break. At home.

Them scoring the peno would've taken the gloss off, Thiago maybe got a rush of blood no his debut - but apart from that he was tidy. Nice save from Alisson, who looked sharp.

I’m going with Fab for motm. Ss I said earlier in the game he was superb. Great defensively, reads everything so well and his distribution was terrific.
Mane brilliant also, doing just what Mané does.
In fact everyone pretty well on it, some for longer periods than others, but all in all a totally dominant performance.
 Well deserved 3 points, and fu**ed all over fat franks billions 😂
Thiago looks like a player Klopp could do something with as well 😬
