Just reading that LFC paid for the Lincoln players to get tested for Covid.

Raised an eyebrow when I read that 10 of the Leyton Orient team all tested positive on Monday!  Must have worked its way through the EFL by now!

I honestly think most people have totally forgotten about Karius, unfortunately I haven't, I still have nightmares of that CL final!!

He played over 30 games last season you clown.

aye defo dont play karius, imagine he dropped the ball v a div.2 team. ;D

Might laugh but I think he literally did this against Tranmere in a friendly a month or so after his Kiev howlers

EDIT: I think Tranmere were actually a league below Lincoln at the time, so a "Div. 3" team, not a Div. 2

Remember when he went off for tests at some hospital in America after the final.  Obviously didn't find it funny at the time, but it's more amusing looking back at it now.

To be fair to the lad, he must have been half-decent enough for them to be first choice for two seasons.  Not like there's a world shortage of goalkeepers.

I've always thought he's a much better keeper than gets credit for mate.

Back to this game and I don't expect Thiago to start as some have mentioned. Maybe on the bench and get a few more minutes in second half.

Massachusetts General Hospital it was, funnily enough John Henry is on the board there. Seemed like some sort of PR exercise to try & prove he was concussed but I've no idea what they were actually expecting to achieve out of it

In reality we should have a strong side out here. Dint see Brewster or Wilsin involved if were hoping to offload. Gruij will probably know where he stands folliwing this team selection

Imagine Adrian, Williams and Tsimiskas will all come in. Minamino and Origi 2 of the 3 up front. Will Jota come straight in? Or will Shaq get a chance?

Jones Milner 2 of the 3 in mid.

So questions over 2 centre backs, I suspect Jie will be 1. Midfield and 1 of the forwards. Id like to see Jota start with Shaq gettingbthe Keita role in the middle

he had pre-season with Bayern didn't he, plus he looked ok against Chelsea. There is no way I'd risk him in this kind of game, just bring him in gradually in Prem games.

Need to take it seriously as this cup is a testing ground effectively. Will get harder opposition deeper into it so we need to make sure we get the result.

Gradually ? Do you want him to play against Arsenal or just gradually give him minutes here and there he has had no pre season games perfect opportunity  to get minutes in and used to system

Did he look out of shape against Chelsea, Yes or No? What he needs is to train with the first team and not play a game with the fringe players against a 3rd division team and risk injury.
If his fitness is not up to scratch then he plays the last 20-30 minutes in a few matches to get up to speed

So why if his fitness is not up to scratch would you not play him in this game to enable him more chance of playing 90 mins against Arsenal . You risk injury whenever you play he needs some game time he only played on Sunday due to injury and that we were playing against 10 men . 30 minutes or even a half will do him no harm whatsoever

because there is a greater risk of injury playing against lower league teams plus what he needs is better understanding with his other senior teammates, not which he won't gain playing with the fringe players.

BTW I don't think there is an issue with his fitness, do you?

Not sure on his Fitness camped in Chelseas half would have hardly exerted him or prooved one way or another . Training and match fitness two completely different animals which is why I think would be good to play some part at least . The link shows for real how far we have come frightening  really
