Me neither, but then thought with Neco being so young, R. Williams and Tsimikas being new that Virgil is there to calm everyone down and lead them.

Also surprised at no Elliott. Is he injured?

4-2-3-1 with Minamino in the hole and Jones + Grujic as the double pivot?

Nuther chance to see Elliott and Jones even.As long as Jones doesn't panic he should show up well tonight. Should be a decent game with Arsenal waiting.

      Good side.

Look forward to seeing Gruijc. Id have left VVD out and gone with Fab on the basis an injury to Fab is more easily remedied.

Could VVD be starting as a here is another game for him to sort his form? No doubt that recently he hasn't been the same, some careless errors towards the back end of last season as well as against Leeds.

Clear that Brewster is leaving with his omission from the squad, looking forward to seeing Minamino and Elliot in action, hopefully we will get a glimpse of Jota later on also.

Nah...won't do him any harm, make sure he goes into the Arsenal game fully tuned in. Always need an old head at the back in these games anyway and Joe & Joel aren't available so VVD gets a game.

Bit crackers.  But does show that it's perhaps an area that we maybe need another player in for.

Wow, shocker, Virgil starts, didn’t expect that tbh, ok brilliant, Grujic & Shaqiri too, hands up, who had these two as starters, not me Ha, anyhoo exciting side hope they gel and perform well, thought Jota would start but got plenty of time to see him, can’t wait to see Minamino link up with Jonesy & wee Harvey, excited and can’t wait for KO.

      C’MON REDMEN!

(please tell me we’re not playing in that hideous lava lamp kit) are we ?

So Shaqiri, Grujic, Origi and Wilson are not that close for a transfer but Brewster is then.

Think Brewster will go on sold/loan somewhere but can’t risk injury for obvious reasons

Brewster and Phillips probably on their way I guess. Rhys Williams a shocker, but exciting night for him.

Shaqiri and Wilson surprise inclusions for me. I had hoped Grujic would stay and this doesn't mean he won't leave, but I do think with the fixture congestion we are about to have (when Champions League draw is made and we progress in this competition), we will need more cover.
