As for Adrian, it’s his decision making that is awful, I think he’s a good shot stopper.
God, if I’m EFC forwards in two weeks, any pass back to him, I’m closing in as quick as possible

We got a brilliant coach, he is gonna let the players know that they were shitt. He is gonna watch the game again, and learn from this. It happens, believe it or not, it is what we needed to get our hunger back. Congratz to villa, they deserved the 3 points.

Wouldn’t you think someone, anyone, on the pitch would have said
“this ain’t working, we gotta drop deeper to close the space behind us “

If we don’t, every fuckers gonna open us up the same 🤷‍♂️

If you play that high, you have to press like mad everytime. Not on occassion but every single time like Bayern did in the Champions League. If you don't you get picked off like tonight.

It's why the international break is an absolute F**k up for us, need sessions on the training ground if we want to try this new style because at the moment we can't execute it effectively in matches.

Just to add, those three deflections, f**k me. One, yes, two, maybe but f**king three! F**k off.

Don’t forget the no pen to Mo, blatant as F**k and those cu*ts Atkinson and Moss did nothing and one of there goals was offside! Just a sh*t, crap night all round.

Oh and sign a keeper tomorrow. Even if we fix the defensive line, Adrian will cost us too many points before Alisson is back.

Not up to the task tactically, technically, physically, mentally. Just shocking how far off this  was from just 6 days ago vs. Arsenal.

I'm always on about being positive but, the only qualifying thing you can say about this one is that it was totally uncharacteristic.

Problem there is it makes me thing something is up internally. Just inexplicable.

I'm also always on about not overreacting, etc., but an emergency loan move for a goalkeeper has to be under consideration.

Three deflected goals and we SHOULD have had a penalty. Still, they hit the bar and Adrian saved a one on one with his outstretched leg.

Not one brain cell between them. At 2-1 like I've already said get to HT and go from there.

When it gets to 5-2 take it on the chin and have some respect for the shirt you play in and your own reputations and play from a solid base.

Instead we handed them more goals on a plate. 3 deflections but about 10 sitters missed too.

      Dumb cu*ts.

Congratulations to Villa and to Ollie Watkins. We handed it to them and if we carry on like that theres a lot more where that came from.

Hello Everybody  xxxxx:action-smiley-065: First time poster here.

I didn’t think we were too bad in the first half. Villa started with intensity but we seemed ok — then Adrián makes a horrendous error.

We responded well but then conceded again. At this point I’m struggling to remember what all of Villa’s goals looked like. We fought back and Salah got the goal but within minutes we conceded again. I still had faith event at 5-1 down, but as soon as the sixth went in I knew for certain we were toast. We had a lot of bad luck today, but we were very sloppy and certainly deserved to lose. I thought that we were much better in the first half than the second.

The right side of our defence was terrible. Adrian was terrible. The midfield wasn’t great. Gini started to look reallly bad towards the end. I am a huge Firmino fan but he was horrendous. Jota did fairly well in the first half but he did struggle at times. I didn’t think Klopp got it right with his subs.

The loss is annoying but I’m not overly concerned. We were just sloppy (more and more sloppy as it went on) and we had some terrible luck. I actually found the game somewhat amusing due to how ridiculous it was. Thankfully after the break we will have Henderson, Thiago, and Mané back. Everton away could be a tough game and there’s a very real possibility we won’t come away with the win, but I will remain calm afterwards. I’d be shocked if we didn’t win the title. My confidence does go down when Adrian is between the sticks though. I like the guy but he’s just not very good. His distribution and decision making is poor, but I also think his positioning is bad.

Just a defensive mess. Deflected goals yes but they went through us like a knife through butter. Just off the pace from the start.High line gives teams a chance. Balls pumped over Trent and Robbo, any cover they get just by passed.

Used to counter attack away but we are just to high, overdoing the offside trap. Soon as we lose possession we are vulnerable to the counter. Got to get over it, lucky we have a bit of time but nobody should get any time off.

What's really worrying, more than Gomez, is VvD. He looks a shadow of the player he was.

For all those that said it's just one of those nights, I disagree. This has been coming for a while. Since we won the league we have been on the whole complacent. Tonight it was as if Woy had put a Klopp mask on. Adrian was Adrian some good saves and lots of dreadful footwork,  Gomez awful, Bobby awful, big Virg not as invincible as he would like to portray. Tactics found out in the first two minutes and we never changed. Good job we never played a decent team.

Think we should get Kelleher in from now on, can't be worse than Adrian and not sute what's going on with Bobby but he has been lacklustre this season so far.

Nah, Virgil will be fine but he needs much better than Gomez next to him.

So...breathe...avoid the knee jerk thoughts swirling in my head....

Yes this was bad (f***in hell it was really bad 🙈) however...

I don't see whoever wins the league scoring 90+ points.
Mane, Thiago and (more importantly) Alisson will be back at some point.
The top of the pile isn't City...they're already dropping points and looking ropey.

This is gonna hurt for a while but on reflection I think the boys will be hungry after the international break and will come back and smash Everton.

      Agree 100%

But part of me thinks there must be more too it.. from Arsenal to that in less than a week

Those covid tests, just two of them? Most of those lot out there tonight looked liked they were playing with no energy and heavy legs

Not an excuse as we were pitiful but I just dont buy we go from arsenal to that in less than a week without something we donr know
