Busy news cycle during the break between CoVid news, transfer rumours and club business dealings, but it's good to have a match on the horizon.

Feels a little extra this one after our last result and the Blues good start to the campaign.

Was nice to see pics from training on the official site that included Thiago, Sadio and even Joel Matip. Fingers crossed that everyone returns from Intl duty with healthy knees and healthy lungs.

I'm really bitter going into this match, and I'll should still be bitter when we kick off.

I'd like them to come & have real go at us but suspect they'll play cagey and try & catch us on the break as usual.

With this in mind, think Thiago should start, if fit.

We'll need to be extra sharp with the high line as they'll be looking for James to ping diagonal balls behind the full backs; hope Hendo or Gini is tasked with giving him no time on the ball to hurt us.  Let's see how sharp his distribution is with Reds snapping at his heels.

Always a tough match at Goodison with very few goals; don't see that changing despite the ridiculous number of goals being scored in the current environment.

1-1 or  2-1 victory the most likely results, for my money.

      NB: Team no longer available

I saw Matip back in training, I would play him against Everton and rest him for Ajax.

I would play Henderson as well too.

      Is Ancelotti Klopp's kryptonite?

      I guess we'll see.
His teams certainly have a habit of making things very tough for us.

A bit dubious with Adrian in goal, otherwise think we have enough strength to out play the bitters on the day, in particular with Henderson seemingly back in the side.

Sticky blueshite toffees as always will be a battle,  even more so Carlo has them properly organised and are a real threat, they will be up for this more than ever, in their blue shitty eyes they owe us more than one and Will believe that this time they will have the bragging rights,

However,  they are up against a very wounded animal who apart from Alisson should be close to full strength, this is a tough one to call but i think Jürgen will right the wrongs aka Villa that will see us back almost to our best, blueshite have had it good of late but they haven't come across quality like us,

                                     Adrian

                   Trent   Fabinho  Virgil Robbo

                        Henderson   Wijnaldom

                                       Thiago

                           Salah                Mane

                                        Bobby

      Back to winning ways

Stinks that this one kicks off less than 60 hours after internationals for England and Holland (and Portugal) end.

Not much more time between kickoff and last night's Brazil match, with a much longer flight added.

Does Everton have players out in international duty? sux for us with Bobby half a world away.

Playing at Everton has been a tough, low scoring game for a while and even though they are considerably better and able to try to play a proper game against us, they are likely to play conservative as usual. With Adrian in goal i cannot see a clean sheet for us, so i'll go for 2-1 Reds.

Made some decent signings in fairness Alan is a good player liked him at Napoli no doubt about it will be tough and need to see a reaction . Going to be some interesting selections Fab hasn't played a minute of internationals so expect him to play surely Thiago will start if fit and Milner with rest could be surprise inclusion

Robbo, Gomez, Trent, Hendo all left out of starting lineup for international games today. Van Dijk and Wijnaldum starting for Holland vs. Italy.

Diogo Jota starting for Portugal vs. Sweden.

Actually Andy Robertson is not listed among the subs for Scotland, either. Should that worry me?

So, I bought a bar of dairy milk and they've got a premier League competition, enter the barcode online and get a prediction and if it's accurate you win tickets etc and this was mine:

With my luck and given nobody can, I'll win tickets to a match.

Love it, good luck Ian  :)

I have no idea how this game will go.
Usually I would say a tight game, 0-0 or 1-0... but with two dodgy keepers playing in a season where anything goes it could be a 4-4 Classic again.
If matip is fit I would start him as Gomez has dropped in form lately.
Thiago as well could be useful picking the ancelotti machine.
I’m also hoping for a firmino big game man of the match. He’s not been firing lately either.

      My prediction....
      2-2.

Yes. Scored two, just like Bobby.

That should for putting all four of Bobby, Diogo, Mo and Sadio in is an interesting one.

      Maybe 4-2-3-1?

      Maybe.

Maybe swap Sadio and Diogo. I know Sadio can play on the right but not sure about Jota.

Also I think if Hendo is fit he plays from the start. Was thinking Fabinho at center back. Glad Joel is back training but not expecting him to start quite this soon.

But there are a lot of options for Jürgen, so we'll see.
