With that said, would there be further review of that incident?

I don't know, have you know of an occasion where there has?

They admitted that. Channel I was watching explained that the information they had received is that the officials simply "did not check" the incident. Not that they couldn't check... but chose not to.

Shouldn't have even needed VAR Oliver should.have spotted it

Also the whistle went before Richarlison's red so they clearly did have the jurisdiction to send Pickford off earlier in the game but chose not to.

VAR was designed to take the uncertainty away but it only adds to it. If it's a clear and obvious error but that rule does not apply to offside. It's decided on the clear photo evidence and Mane was inline with the defenders.

      Poor decision.

I feel sick, all week I’ve been looking forward to a great day of football, with nothing to do, time to watch all and within a third of the game VAR has ruined my weekend.

F***ing corrupt cu*ts, go protect your shitty golden boy goalkeeper.

A bit harsh IMO. The second goal was a point blank header with nobody near calvert-lewin. If questions have to be asked then I think it is of Gomez who should've at least been up there with him.

First goal was difficult but the second he has to come and punch it. It was very poor decision making.

I loved our one touch passing; it was sublime at times. Thiago’s passing was fantastic — beautiful short layoffs and majestic long balls.

I thought that on previous occasions if the ref has taken no action, they have taken retrospective action. Can’t remember who or when. I may be wrong but if I am, it needs changing ASAP.
But he’s England’s no.1, so nothing will happen.

First goal was easier. The second he has pulled on to Robbo who didn't even attempt to jump with him

That keeper should have been sent off.

This level of incompetence by the referees is unacceptable.

The linesman actually waved his flag as the tackle went in.

      We were hard done by.

It’s not even worth watching football now, officiating is getting worse, year on year, even with VAR, and games are rarely decided on skill now, it’s decided on who gets the right side of the refs.

Looking at the van dijk still of the offside why are they drawing lines from Virgils arm? That's a non goal scoring part of his body. If the line is from the shoulder it's well onside.

Richarlison has to get his head right. He could've put Thiago, a fellow Brazillian out for a year or more. It was even worse that the Pickford tackle...one of the worst tackles I've seen in a Derby match. Carlo has to sort him out.

Serious question, do they actually do all these checks on the moment that the ball is kicked - line up the foot, line up the ball movement...

How are we to know that the snap of Mane was the 'exact' moment in question. They are so "precise" (well supposedly) about Mane, but what about the pass?

Exactly. VAR's offside check is operating under the delusion that there is 1 infinitely small "instant" when the ball is kicked. They think they can freeze everything on that instant. But it takes time to kick a ball. The ball compresses against your foot and then springs off. It takes time for this to happen. You could wind that footage back or forward several frames and the ball would still be on the passers foot. So you just can't be that perfectly precise about it as they are trying to kid themselves they are being. Ruling goals out over a hairs breadth that will be there one frame and gone the next, and where they will have about 6 frames to chose from which are ALL part of the moment where the ball is on the passers foot is ludicrous. It's a pretend precision that doesn't actually exist in physical reality. It's a joke that football is being spoiled by this fantasy precision.

I’m sure we won’t be complaining when VAR goes in our favour, anyway deserved to win.

That’s the thing, it’s getting to the point it’s just ridiculous now and even if it affects your rivals, you feel as a sport hard done by, because you know it’s only a matter of time until it’s you... so it’s not even worth using as banter against rivals now... it’s a sad state of affair that’s affecting every fans favourite game.
