Fabinho my MOTM, three subs were good ,working for each other ,all know where the goal is ! Adrian a bit worrying due to lack of confidence

Cracking result that! No complaints. Clean sheet was huge with all the fingers pointing at the keeper and how we’re gonna cope without Virgil. Fab was absolutely superb butcreditGonez, he had a good game playing in an unfamiliar left sided role.we looked pretty solid once Hendo cane on at half time. Robbo was terrific in the first half and the front three looked lively without finding the right final ball. I thought Milner was excellent 2nd half, I often think he doesn’t play as often as he deserves but his experience will be important this season. Jota looked very lively again! As for Adrian he had a decent game and then nearly blew it all right at the death, but we got away with it and hopefully Ali will be back real soon

Shaqiri did very well.Give Trent good support.Doubt he could keep that pace up for 90 minutes but at least he's back in the groove after looking like he was done here.

Jota must be in with a shout of a start at the weekend.

Great to see attacking subs that doesn't result in a huge drop off in quality.

With Mane having a dead leg maybe he starts on Saturday.

      The Jota-Minamino partnership looks fantastic.

I would try that, give Mané some rest.

Not one for the ages but it was gritty against a good side. Best way to respond to last weekend with a clean sheet and starting the CL campaign with a win.

Happy with that result. Early days yet, but i'd expect us to beat them at Anfield too, along with beating midjidifififfsrtyhhfr? home and away we'll make the knock out stage with ease. A straight shoot out between us snd Atalanta to see who tops the group.

Very good display but please please get well soon Allison, Adrian reminds me too much of Migs, accident waiting to happen.

      He's better than Mignolet was.

Definitely dicey at times last night.  Having said all that no doubt about it that he made at least two pivotal saves one in each half and if you walk away with a clean sheet then its a positive.

Feel like he is being forced into being busier as we seem to be conceding a lot more corners than perhaps we've been used to over the past 18 months.

A straight shoot out between us snd Atalanta to see who tops the group.

Think Ajax were the second ranked team in the group weren't they.  Last night was, in theory, our most difficult game in the group no?  Surely the Champions of the Netherlands outrank whereever Atalanta finished in Serie A. Third?

Good win and a super confidence booster.
It is not good for the heart, but, I do not mind a series of 1-0 wins in the next few games. It will boost the confidence of the defence. And, with Thiago and Hendo back for the weekend, the midfield will not be as easily bypassed as it was last night.

Looks up for the fight.  Needs time to adjust to Klopp's system but already showing some very positive signs just weeks into signing.

Fabinho is huge for our success this year mor than before.

I would play Salah central, Mane right hand side and Jota left next game.

I dont agree on Migs but in the end Migs, Karius, Adrian theres not much to shout about there whoever you chose.

I think Ajax will go through though, I know Atalanta are a decent side who score for fun but Ajax looked very decent last night and I think theyll go through with us.

I think Klopp needs to consider dropping Bobby, he offers absolutely bugger all these days, even his pressing and winning the ball back has dropped off. I'd play either Minamino or Jota in the front three.

As for Adrian, yes he made some decent saves last night but he is not a good keeper, even for a #2. Way to often he is caught out of position or makes the wrong choices, he makes me nervous in exactly the same way as Migs used to. Hopefully Allison is back soon, but I really would look to fast track one of the other keepers into the #2 position.

As for the CB issue, what issue, Fabinho is more than capable of covering for Virgil, especially with the defence dropping deeper and the team switching to more of a counter attacking set up, Jürgen must read my posts ;-)

I agree, Ajax are good, btw if we need a new CB that Schuurs looks very good.
