I think it’s because he’s going to be on the pitch more than Milner. He also took one last season when Milner was on the pitch.

I thought Shaqiri had some good moments

Always happy with a win of course but difficult to feel that pleased after seeing us put in another god awful performance and pick up another injury in the process.

Just hope that Fabinho injury is nothing, we can’t be relying on Rhys in the league, we saw what happened to Neco after a game we won 7-2, being attacked and bullied by his own fans, it’s not fair, at his age.

Shaqiri could, and should, play a lot more often for us.

Fully agree think he has all the qualities we need in a player. He certainly is brave on the ball. Knows when to pass it and when to hold it. Trent set the first goal up but Shaq helped him do it by releasing his pass just at the right time.

Trent was class today, Shaq was 2nd best and the rest were bloody useless. Exception of Rhys William's who performed admirably but its asking a lot for him to play weekend.

Hopefully Matip stops messing about and plays some football.

Take the positives from that. A win and a clean sheet, 6 points from 6 and a draw in the other game. Hopefully Matip, Keita and Thiago are in contention for the weekend.

Just so glad we got the 3 points, need to up our game big time going forward, but this season was never going to be easy with the volume of games. I really do not think any team needs or wants another round of International games.
