Aye but Sterling will have a field day with Joe again.

He'll be attacking on Phillips side so Joe's blushes will be saved.

Love to see Jota start through the middle next week.

Hes got the press ... can hold it ... hes creating and looks a man full of confidence and in form. Deserves a good run of games for me.

Ground it out again. Came from behind to win again. Are we playing great ... no. Are we digging in you bet we are. Going to be really tough at city but nice to be above them going into it.

Nat Philips ... he stays in for me if matip can get himself fit.

      Top of the league.

Phillips certainly looked composed, assured even. Looks competent and can deal with stuff. So it's not sorted yet but it's a step in the right direction.

Jota has given the Boss a decision to make. Shaqiri has shown he can play in the hole and make a difference so I'll bet the Boss is relieved. Paying out for a player like Jota, a player who wasn't in the frame is a risk, so..so far so good.

I can’t believe how much he’s digging him out.

End of the day Salah has to go down like that to get the penalty because if he doesn’t then it gets missed

(Maybe it was too theatrical but it was a deffo foul)

Souness trying to claim Mo dived. The ref saw Mo go down easy..but he judged on the kick which was a FOUL...it was a FOUL..in the PENALTY area....and the ref gave it...VAR agreed...it was a foul. The ref does not rule on the DIVE..he judges the TACKLE...which was a foul.

Not a dive really is it when he kicks him. Be stupid to not do it the way refs only give fouls when players go to ground. Nothing to be gained from staying up.

      Silly tackle really.

Fair play to Philiips handled the aerial stuff well although in all fairness Haller was sh*te on the deck and posed no threat . Surely Matip back for City and Williams in Tuesday

Good win, but Klopp showing similar weakness as few years back as he persists with Firmino for no reason whatsoever. Jones too... bit odd really.

I wouldn't have a pop at Jones.Still only 19 and he's playing his way into the side. Nice ball to Mo for the penalty. Can't expect to much to early. Yeah he makes a rod for his own back by being a bit arrogant, as if he's already a top player but he needs time and games.

Yeah I thought Jones was fine, Bobby has to lose his place to Jota though, Bobby is currently a bit of a passenger.

A very good win today, important. Also big plus with Nat Philips, solid debut.

Oh and Shaq could become a great impact sub for us.

Yep, if your a Football manager and one of your players get kicked inside the pen box you’d be livid if said player doesn’t go down, now Mo went down in a way any Thespian would be proud of, it’s not pretty, it doesn’t do wonders for Mo’s reputation, but like those nasty Latin American types and their dark arts it’s part of the game,
The end result is we got a penalty which said thespian slotted away nicely and brought us back into a game which at the time we were losing, perhaps then had Mo not went down we’d be looking at a 1-1 draw and the loss of two valuable points,

So I’m glad Mo went down in instalments , and hope he’d do so again, at the end of the day he helped us win that game, helped Us get 3 valuable points, so no complaints from yours truly.

Hard to say Bobbies gone past his sell by date because he has been brilliant for us. Worked so hard and fully played his part but it looks like he needs a break. We know the Boss will find it hard to put Bobby on the bench but we need Jota in there. He plays well with Mo & Sadio. Shaq as well, can play in the forward central midfield, just drifting off the front 3 and playing in one of the front 3.

We lack that bit of invention as we attack on both flanks, Shaq offers a bit of crafty play in the hole. Good option.

Seems to me that we need a midfielder that has vision,  we have needed that since cout left.  Shaq and Thiago are perfect for this if teams like the Moyles boys are what it seems we are going against.  Everyone stiffles us, by loading there mid and def, and catch us on the break.  The two players who came on made a difference, which means, every other manager has to think again, are you worried ? .

Salah will be branded a diver because of it.
But harry Kane has stolen a living do that but because he’s an English golden boy whenever kane flies to the ground it’s classed as ‘clever play.’

      I’m just glad we won.

Looks like we had a quality central defender hiding in plain sight. Sometimes does happen here, that quality goes under the radar because the standards are so high. Nat Phillips, 23, has proved he is a quality professional in coming in, cool as any seasoned pro, and giving an assured performance.

He might just calm Joe down a bit.
