      Phillips seals loan switch

Nat Phillips has completed his loan move to Bournemouth, with Liverpool receiving £1.5million for the deal.

The Reds defender has been keen to make a move away from Anfield in search of regular first-team football this month having played just three times this season.

Bournemouth made a deadline day offer to take the 24-year-old centre-back to the Vitality Stadium for the remainder of the campaign, which the Reds were happy to agree to.

Liverpool will earn an initial loan sum of £1.5m with a further £250,000 should the third-place Cherries achieve promotion to the Premier League this term.

Glad he'll finally get some game time although I would have thought a Prem club might have taken him -- perhaps though PL clubs couldn't guarantee playing time. If he plays well and Bournemouth get promoted they can have him for £30m and we'll throw in Rhys for £20m  ;D

It’s that cruel. Last game Wembley and no more next game as your career may end with an injury. That’s life.

I think newcastle have missed a trick, he would've been great for them.

Yeah I get the joke but you could have finished it off with all the best Nat… blah blah blah…

There are some players that deserve every respect, praise & credit that comes their way & Nat is one of those… conducted himself impeccably given the circumstances….

      Anyway no harm… 👍🏼

He's someway off the level of the rest of our CB's but you can't fault him for the role he's played with us. I'm surprised he's ended up dropping down a division, all be it on loan. Given the likes of Dan Burn have been sold for £15mill, I'm amazed there has been nobody coming in with an offer like that for Phillips who has performed at a much higher standard. Perhaps there's too much of an obvious look with where he stands with us so clubs are trying to get him cheap as possible, or in this case on a loan.
