Imagine having Torres but linking up with Mane & Salah.
      Well imagine no more.

Great result last night, but more important, great performance. Not sure if Atalanta were poor, or we just made them look poor.
Hats off to Jota. Superb display of finishing.
No negatives throughout the side really.
Only issue now, who to play v shity.
Just hope it’s not both jota and bob, as that means we likely go 4231 which in my opinion, lessens our potency as we lose the midfield.
If we play jota, we gain up top but lose a bit defensively, If we play Bob, the reverse.
Glad I don’t have to make those decisions.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t  🤷‍♂️

      A bit of both really.
They had chances, didn't take them.

They left us too much space, we exploited it superbly and were pretty clinical.

On the chances mate they hit the post & Aliison pulled off some saves, shiver to think what would have happened if Adrian was in between the sticks..

Great performance from Jota, could easily have gone down for his first goal but rode the challenge and what a dink over the keeper.

Hopefully he carries on his form against city.

Was working to midnight last night so missed this but great to Jota having such an impact and again shows we now have proper competition in the front three.

      Fantastic result.

Great game played very well but helped by a team who wanted to play football not put 11 men behind the ball

Glad that as a fan, I'm never ever wrong. Whichever plan goes wrong, I'd say we should have used the other plan. Whichever plan works, I'd say it was the correct decision. Glad that I'm always right... only in hindsight. I'm such a brilliant fan who knows what we should have done to win the past matches. I'm never damned. ;D

His finishing was sublime. He really does look like he's got the tools to spell any of the front 3 if needed which tells me he's likely going to get a good amount of game time as we don't need to overwork any of them if we have the option not to.

Quite simply a stunning result. To go away to a tricky side like Atalanta and batter them 5-0 is a performance from the gods and a fine statement. Much like the time we went to Porto and thrashed them 5-0 back in February 2018. Oddly, we've made tricky work of the CL Group stages under Jürgen but no sign of that this time. Long may it continue!

Wow, I din't see that coming. Thought we were in for a tough night. Meh!!! We played them off the park in an outstanding display.

First clean sweep of MOTM in the History of our MOTM polls, i'm pretty sure. Amazing Jota. What a buy!

I actually bet on us to win by that scoreline paying $196 for the dollar it was!

Pity they were sh*t  :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We needed that. It was about time we won at a canter, rather than at the edge of our seat.

It's now 5 wins on the bounce since VVD got injured. But we were cut open in this game quite a few times. If that happens at City, I would be worried, as we're not exactly rock solid at the back atm.

Hopefully complacency doesn't set in for the return game. 9 points was enough to qualify 2 years ago, but as the bottom team is likely to lose every game, we still need more points. Winning the next game will qualify us for the next round, winning the next two will win us the group, and give us a rare chance to play a group game with our business done and nothing at stake.

I'm a greedy capitalist who wants the team to maximize its CL group stage revenues. John Henry concurs.

      6 wins x 2.7mill pounds = 16.2mill
