Not going to lie  Not happy with that team selection

To me he has fudged an easy decision ... even if one of them dropped into midfield to stop us being outnumbered it would still be a square peg in a round hole.

But, this man has more than earned everyone's trust so I have to trust him. Im not sure city would have expected it.

But for me jota should be through the middle, mane and salah on their respective wings with keita milly or Jones in with hendo and gini.

The full backs will have to stay back abit more for me and its gonna be tough for the midfield 2 sitting in front.

Mad line up and very bold against a team that can move the ball around as good as City. Midfield will have a job on their hands but love seeing us go this attacking.

Matip's back! hopefully he gets a run of 2 or 3 games - BIG game for him to come back into.
Back 5 and Hendo/Gini, as expected.
Don't think Bobs form has been great lately - plus we seem to have struggled a bit when haven't lined out with 3 'traditional' midfielders.
But delighted to see Jota there though, deserves to start, he's our form player.
Anyway, really hope we go out there and continue the form of midweek, and tear these fucksticks a new one !!

One thing is for sure: Klopp is throwing Pep something he hadn’t seen from us before. Hopefully it pays off.

Hope Firmino is the deeper of the two between Jota and himself.

I think we need to be all guns blazing for this one as our midfield is going to be exposed unless we are not pressing from start to finish.

Against Sheffield United they just sat deep ... be abit different today.

But I agree, I think hes dodged an easy decision.

Players arnt machines. Sometimes form dips ... thats life. And with a mega hectic schedule coming up and jota bang in form it was an easy decision for me to give bobby a break and not weaken the forward line/team as a whole.

Got to trust the gaffer though.

Not gonna lie, really don’t like that line up. Needs to be Jota or Bobby and not both. We’ve looked poor whenever we don’t play a proper midfield three. Fingers crossed we have enough of the ball.

I suppose the argument could be - why stick three midfielders up against a midfield with De Bruyne and have a good chance of losing that battle.

Front four. It will be a very fluid attack. No one can make out how the front four will play. That includes us.

What makes us think the other Pep and his defence know how the front four are going to play?

Will always remember that masterclass display against City almost exactly 5 years ago. 4-1 wasn't it? I think that was the first match where Bobby and Klopp's Liverpool really showed what we were all about. The very early days of Jürgen!

Good point and I guess Pep wouldn't have been expecting this and was planning for a 4 3 3 from USS all week.

Excited to see how this works, sometimes it’s good to toss a curved ball into the mix! I’d bet Pep and City weren’t expecting that.

Wasn’t too long ago Leicester took them to the cleaners, I take lots of confidence from that alone, Citeh are prone to brain farts throughout the season it’s entirely possible they could do so again today,

I dont expect a front 4. I think well see the front 3 with Bobby playing deeper in a cam role....Ive always  said city can be destroyed by attacling them, the back 4 are suspect...

However in doing so tbe one fear is how much space will Be Bruyne get now

If we are 1 point behind leaders this evening having been to Chelsea, Everton & city - having not hit top gear then I’m happy
