Yeah, and Steve Clark can f**k off. If he’s injured, send him home for treatment you muppet !
How can anyone be prepared to risk an injured player 🤷‍♂️
Is that really in the players interests ? Don’t think so !

It was cramp ffs. a strain at worst, he was already rested sunday. He wont be risked if not fit, but they are hopeful he will be ok for the game.

Quote from fields of anny rd
Scotland already have I guess this is for longer term now.

      Dumb format tbf

The winners of every current NL group secure a WC playoff spot, if they don't qualify through the usual format next year. Scotland are currently top of their group but need a result this week to win it. If they qualify next year, their playoff spot is given to the next nearest team in the rankings who didn't qualify.

Without the current format, Scotland wouldn't be at next year's Euros, so it has it's advantages. They took the 24th and last spot for the Euros. So it was worth playing 3 games this week.

At this rate, I expect somebody soon to twist their knee when taking the knee ritual. Or sprain their ankle, or sustain a shoulder injury. Or something else....

This thread terrifies me, everytime I see NEW beside it Im opening with the expectancy of reading of another injury

Rhys Williams kept out of England U21 game as "a precaution for a minor issues."

This either means someone is protecting him for the weekend or he has a knock and is questionable for our match.

Also, photo gallery of the first training session at Kirkby: Matip is shown. Adrian is shows with young goalkeepers. Millie and a bunch of U23 field players are shown. Ox is shown in rehab. Sadio is show walking about the place, but no sight of Fabinho or Thiago.

I hope Matip was wrapped in bubble wrap for the training sessions.  Also hope that Liverpool FC has safety proofed his house, all Lego banned and a personal 24-7 masseuse in his house.  :f_tongueincheek:

      ;D it is confusing.

But nations league is brilliant format, way better than playing meanigless games v top teams and getting humped everytime, at least in nations league its games v teams with similar coefficients so much more competitive games.

England fans loved it last time round, as they got to the finals, this time round they have been average so nations league seems pointless, as they now just stay in same league and cant get to finals.

In normal times I agree, its a good format, but why on earth we have to play International friendlies in the middle of a pandemic is beyond me, its so silly, the players should be getting as much rest as possible, yet they are piling on more and more fixtures.

he had cramp after playing 120mins as captain of his country, If he is even 80% he will want to play tmrw night.

I expect him to be on the bench though, KT is top class backup at LB.

Kostas played 90 minutes tonight as well, for Greece.  :)

There's no getting away from it. Jürgen and co. will just make the best of it as always.

This is insane, the team now:

      Alisson

      Williams Phillips Matip Robertson

      Keita Wijnaldum Milner

      Jota Firmino Mane

So are Fab, Thiago & Hendo all out or awaiting fitness tests?

If all become available, can field a decent team: -

                                   Ali

      Williams   Matip          Fab     Robbo

                    Hendo          Gini
                             Thiago

      Jota               Firmino          Mane

If all out, pretty much what LondonRed says above.

Tough times but always fancy us at home.

What's the verdict on Robbo? Did he play last night for the Scots? Massive plus for us if he is fit and available because he has made an excellent start to the season, in fact he has been better than Trent as an attacking player thus far. So much of our creativity comes from the 2 full-backs so if one or both are missing we have to offer a threat from midfield which is why we really need Thiago back. I think Shaq probably gets the nod over Keita based on his form in the last couple of games.

Yeah played the full 90 🙄

Sounds like Hendo is out, others still in contention but doesnt sound like Fabinho and Thiago have done much if any team training still

The Wales manager has confirmed that Neco Williams missed last night's international game due to a kick to the foot suffered in the previous game.

      You can't make this up.

However I am harboring a faint hope that Jürgen was on the phone to some of these managers and telling them to leave his boys out of the final game (I know, some of ours did play) because we're about to run out of players. It's a pleasant fantasy so I'm sticking with it for now.

Gini would be next, followed by Jota, then back to Ali again. I should get at least one correct guess at this current run rate.

I’m now hoping Jürgen is keeping quiet about the availability of a few players recovering from injury, and he has a few surprises for Leicester.
      My only hope I think.

Can someone explain why Vardy didn't play in the Internationals, I think Jürgen should have been much tougher and just refused his players to go and play in these pointless friendlies at a time of a pandemic.

Fab, Thiago and Ox all featured on the official Instagram page in the last few hours. Looks positive. Leicester probably too soon but imagine they’re close.
