      Injury watch
      Nov 11, 2020 04:00:32 pm
Dont think a thread exists for keeping track of injury...Good way of keeping tabs on who is out and when due back.

Maybe someone more gifted then me can draw up a chart for it? But to kick things off Ill just start a list of who is currently out

      Virgil Van Djik
      Trent Alexander Arnold
      Fabinho
      Joe Gomez
      Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain
      Thiago Alcantara

Think Gomez is our 14th injury of the season. We've been playing for two months.

Astonishing really, especially when three of them seem to be serious knee injuries.

      Not far wrong on that!!

Some list of names all the same. Consider then the likliehood that Shaq Keita Matip will be back on thst list at some point ...

My lad just pointed out to me that in 1 of our upcoming games, Matip dependant, 3 of our back 4 could read, N. Williams Philips R.Williams.....

That's right. He came on for 25 minutes against Atalanta.

Jürgen talks about wanting to get a proper fitness foundation under each player, build up their endurance for the sake of 15-20-25 games, not just the next game before they start a run of games.

No such option this season it would appear.

My lad just pointed out to me that in 1 of our upcoming games, Matip dependant, 3 of our back 4 could read, N. Williams Philips R.Williams.....

And look at the schedule when we come back.

Saturday the 21st vs. Leicester at 3 p.m.
(99 hours later) Wednesday the 25th vs. Atalanta at 8 p.m.
(62.5 hours and a flight later) Saturday the 28th at Brighton at 12:30 p.m.
(77.5 hours and a flight later) Tuesday Dec. 1 vs Ajax at 8 p.m.
(89 hours later) Saturday the 5th vs. Wolves at 3 p.m.
(99 hours and a flight later) Wednesday the 9th at Midtjylland at 8 p.m.
(65 hours and 2 flights later) Saturday the 12th at Fulham at 3 p.m.
(99 hours and a flight later) Wednesday the 16th vs. Spurs at 8 p.m.
(65 hours and a flight later) Saturday the 19th at Crystal Palace at 3 p.m.

      9 matches in 28 days.

I'm guessing since we play 3 Saturdays in a row at 3 p.m. that they haven't made the TV changes yet. So when they do, some of those matches will be a little further apart, but of course then the next or previous fixture will be even closer together.

F**k! Just F**k! Im not a happy bunny at the minute. We have the squad to dominate England and Europe and We're being screwed by Var and Injuries. If Jürgen pulls off the Premier league this season I'll personally pay for his statue to be built (in Armagh 😏)

Fabinho and Trent have muscle injuries which won't be that long before we see them back. Thiago was running so he's not that serious. The problem is VVD and Gomez because it is the ligaments in their knee. Plus Matip injury-prone.

Most likely for now it'll be Philips being rotated woth Fab and Matip for League games and the same with Williams for the European games.

My God, are we unlucky or what! Having seen the pictures of Mo at his brothers wedding in Egypt, dancing with his mask under his nose, and nobody else wearing a mask, I am a bit annoyed that he’s put himself in this situation and let his manager, team mates and club down. I love Mo, but he’s acted totally irresponsibly!

It’s 10 days self isolation isn’t it? So he’ll miss the Leicester game but be in contention for Atalanta.

I'm fairly certain he'll live and now he's had it, so he gets a bit of a break, we play Jota, Mane and Bobby.
