For those saying Thiago is injury prone and that we are now living the logical outcome of signing him. Take a look at the tackle, Thiago's ankle and knee. While you're at it also pay attention to Gomez's instant reaction as well as the look on the Everton's player face. Says it all.

Looks worse every time I see it.

But no he's just "injury prone".

Keita, and to a lesser extent Matip, is uncanny in that he gets hurt when we are in the worst jam of games then as we come out of the crazy schedule he recovers. And round it goes. Obviously not on purpose, but one of the reasons you have a squad is to be able to rotate during busy parts of the schedule, so not having those players when you REALLY need them defeats part of the purpose of having them in the first place.

Shaq is another one, but he's consistent in that he's always hurt so you just consider any games he gives you as a bonus, but at some point ability to stay healthy should be a consideration in keeping a player. What are we gaining by paying Shaq whatever wages he's on, which can't be small, and taking up a spot on the roster when you're lucky if you have him for a handful of games in a year?

Injuries to squads are part and parcel or football.

      Always have always will.

We all know Keita, Matip, and Shaq are our most injury prone players so nothing new there.

The fact we have a few injury prone players has nothing to so with the injury Thiago sustained which was a vicious and malicious attempt to do GBH.

A very understandable injury. Dont know why everyones getting wound up about it. Lucky hes not done for the season himself from that 'tackle'.

Player that makes a shocking challenge should spend the same amount of time out as the injury they've caused, not much justice but 3 games for that is not gonna stop the player doing it again

Ah honestly mate any rumour I hear nowadays I believe it as it inevitably turns out to be true. The latest being Thiago needing surgery or being out for the year. Now Alisson with Covid? Not heard anything other than what you’ve posted but already I know it will turn out to be true. Just as well the rumour mill is in good shape because we’re not getting much from the club when it comes to injury updates.

Sorry to be cynical but is nobody else sick of hearing this? Feels like every day there is more bad news. Does anybody remember us, or any other team for that matter, having such bad luck?

If Adrian were to have to play tomorrow, probably better off just forfeiting the game and everyone gets a long rest.

Honestly, between all the injuries and the VAR bullshit I'm slowly but surely losing the will to watch the games.

If we ain't playing with 3 regulars, we're getting fu**ed by some VAR bullshit. If it ain't VAR then we learn after the game that we lost another pair of players for god know how long.

True to Keita form, Thiago will be back when the hustle and bustle of December is over, not a day earlier.

I accidently plussed you ...can I take it back?

      Off topic.

I cannot forget what he did against Atletico. Bobby put us ahead just into injury time. Then he gave the ball to them and they scored. We attacked and they ended up scoring again as we over committed.

Oh well we were overdue an injury.

Hopefully not an ACL but you can bet it will be.

2 months according to reports now.
Middle of February he is expected back.
Chance for minamino to step up maybe. Or even origi.
Either way it’s another big blow in a season of never ending blows.

We can't rely on Minamino and certainly not Origi as backups if we want to retain our league title.

Need to spend in January or I can't see us winning anything this season with all these injuries.

Where the F**k did he pick up the ACL?

And why did Jürgen play him for 87 minutes in a nothing game this week?

I remember him getting a pretty nasty tackle towards the end of the game, probably this one that did it. He got up continued but his facial expression as we was down wasn't reassuring. Probably not an ACL but something serious nonetheless according to what is being reported around.
