      Pre-Match: Liverpool v Leicester (Premier League) Sun 22 Nov 2020 7:15pm
      Nov 19, 2020 03:35:46 pm
Liverpool take on current league leaders Leiceter at Anfield on Sunday night.

The reds are one point behind Brendan Rodgers' side after 8 games.  Leicester have won all four of their away games including a 5-2 win over Man City and a 1-0 win at Arsenal.  They've scored a total of 13 goals in their four away games so far.

Doesn't look like Thiago or Fabinho are going to be back for this one according to the rumours - and Henderson, Salah and Gomez are new players out after international duty.

Keita, Wijnaldum, Milner and Jones are going to be the limited midfield options for this one.

Think this is going to be incredibly tough for us - not just because we've hardly got much of a senior squad but Leicester look like they prefer going away from home so far this season.

A month and counting for Thiago. Thinking he’ll make Keita look durable by comparison.

Keita, Gini and Jones is a strong midfield with Milner to sub in for Jones late in the game to preserve the lead. I guess Gini steps in the 6 in this scenario.

      Two things that concern me.

The injury list obviously..And the 2nd is the high line we play wwhich suits Vardy and Leicesters style away from home..

Gomez and VVD might cope with Vardys pace to some degree, what we are likely to have playing wont. So do we change and stay deep?

One thing id consider should they both be fit is Play Robbo and Tsmiskas so we can continue playing our high line. Play one alongside Matip and the other at left back. Bit outside the norm but Im terrified a Matip/Philips partnership will be exposed.

I read that Thiago and Fab both took part in training today, and that Robbo seems to be ok as well.  If true, our potential 11 still looks pretty strong in my opinion.

Tough game against Leicester, at the weekend with our growing injury list. Although feeling confident with a 2  1 win for the Reds.

Who knows what the story is in Thiago it’s all been a bit cloak and daggger but I’m sure we’ll he from Jürgen in the press conferences tomorrow. Regards the team I’m surprised no one has Shaw in their projected 11. I think he likely starts ahead of Keita

Off topic, but just noticing how much quicker Bobby's movement is in that clip than what we've seen lately. Hoping we get that Bobby back for this weekend. He can be such a force when he's in form.

We signed Luke Shaw and he's going to play in midfield for us? I totally missed that one!  ;D

Leicester themselves have dealt with injuries very well so far this season. Has anyone seen Wesley Forfana who has been called upon at CB?

19 year old lad who looks the business. Already strong, very quick and really composed when he brings the ball out.

Lots of talk about our unbeayen home record under threat on Sunday. I think that kind of talk will fire up our lads.

Were not English and World champions fir nothing. That dressing room is full of winners. Confident to the core in their own ability and in each other. Thats before ee even mention the gaffer..

Even with the injury list when you pick 11 players you still look at it and think yeah thats a good side

Were going in to this being told were there to be taken, so what will Leicesters heads be like? Will they arrive top of the table feeling cocky or will they arrive still knowing they better be at their best?

Im fairly confident in the 3 points here

      Love this post! Well said.

(if you could project your confidence onto Matip and Phillips to telekinetically make their legs move a little quicker when Vardy runs at them, that would be pretty cool too!)

Id be happier knowing we had pace in the centre of defencec to counter Vardy...if we do that I dont see us having problems....As mad as I know it sounds id play Robbo, if fit beside Matip

I hope they're feeling cocky, a walk in the park for them. We are pushovers and they can win pissing us around throughout the 90 minutes. Easy peasy. Even if they play like a practice match, they could easily beat us. Yes, I invite them to play like that at Anfield. League leaders. Prove to us that they need no effort to beat us. ;D let's go.

That would be very poor prep work from Rodgers if they were cocky going into the game, not just because of our recent titles but because last year we completely undressed them like a date on prom night at their own park.
