I would have played fabinho in midfield. Win the battle there and we win the game. No issue with philips at CB

Phillips is not set up to face someone like Vardy

Decent starting 11 even if the bench is a bit light.

      Where's Shaq?

Not quite the best of benches is it.

Vardy could be a proper pain in the arse today.

If Bobs link up play comes together today, Mane and Jota  will give them plenty to worry about.
Think our defence will take care of itself with Fab in there. Let’s hope the mid three hold it together. Naby to remember his defensive game snd Jones not to over complicate things. Keep it simple but positive snd don’t give up possession cheaply trying to do too much.
Gini, just give to em lad.
Can always revert to Ryhs Williams at the back and push Fab into midfield if we need more bite in there.
Decent line up, just do it lads.

No idea what to expect... just hope we can get all three points, or at least one.

I think could be some goals in it, it would be nice to get up in a game early just so we don't have to chase it early.

I had the same dream! Except he was arriving at work and some thug jumped out from behind a bush and whacked him on the knee with a lead pipe. Tosser only got three days on house arrest for it. Then I woke up.

It’s funny how mindsets work because I would usually be very confident of a win at home but for the first time in what feels like forever there is a chance that we could lose so I will be happy with a draw

He needs to be a lot more assertive and aggressive because right now when I watch him he looks so lightweight

Excited to have real games again and not that international friendly garbage.

Glad Fab is back and Keita has reappeared as we need able bodies anywhere we can get them.

At first glance i think i would have liked to see a Fab-Gini-Keita midfield, but Phillips may get exposed with Vardy playing off his shoulder and Fab did a magnificent job on Werner earlier in the year.

      What's the word on Rhys?

Rhys was in training this week so he should be fit. No need for two center backs on the bench and of course Nat isn't eligible for the Champions League, so probably Rhys will be on the bench midweek (or even starting as Jürgen may not want Fab to play twice in 4 days just coming off injury).

Would love to see this tonight. Scored a great goal during the international break, so how about of those for us tonight, Naby!?

Phil Thompson on official pre-game coverage just mentioning that back in the day when his teams were winning everything, it wasn't always great, beautiful football. There were a lot of matches where it was just digging out results. The teams that could do that were the ones ultimately considered successful. It's about finding a way.

Something to remember for all of us in the match day thread, hey?

The sky sports build up is very understandably pro Leicester on top.

      I prefer an underdog start

Not sure he will be right keen on Matip playing midweek to be honest

In fairness mate there is a fair few of us on this forum who aren’t really arsed to  much about performances or pretty football ...the old cliche ‘it’s all about the 3 points’ is always the mantra.
