At half time Crystal Palace were unlucky they were three behind, at full time they were lucky it was only seven.

Perfect Christmas present from the reds today. Brilliant performance and some lovely well taken goals.

Had visions of Mane smashing that stand up if Salah had bagged a hattrick

I noticed the camera was pointed straight at Mane's face after Mo scored and some people seem to think he is mad about Mo scoring. What is up with that? Are the goals scoring bonuses only allowed for the top scorer or what is exactly the reason for him to be supposedly not very happy at Mo scoring?

Something about Bobby's celebration when he scored that last minute winner against the Spuds suggested pure catharsis.

      Today, normal service was resumed.

The demons were slain, and the teeth were shining again.  Maximo!

I couldn't be happier for the lad, because I had been daft enough to say once or twice that he'd lost it.

      What a tit.

      What a very happy tit!

I notice that as well, all about trying to force narrative of rift after Mane went off a little angrily when he was subbed in. I am happy to see him score and break out of little dip in form.

Biggest positive besides scoring 7 and having the front trio all chip in with goals was we escaped the match looks like injury free. Going to be important as players start coming back that we don't lose more bodies in the process for long period of time.

Ever since that game at Burnley it seems the media just want to force that narrative down our throats no matter what. It also works with a lot of our fans. Mo or Mane shoot instead of passing and all you hear about is talk about ''selfishness''.

Just two forwards wanting to score. Don't see any reason for Mane or Mo to be mad the other has scored and I also do not see any sign of it in their game when they are on the pitch.

It's not daft enough to say, he did have a poor spell and now seems to have played himself out of it. Bound to happen with the absolute levels this team have been performing at for at least the last three years.

Gini was immense todsy, but does worry me a bit when he sometimes receives the ball,  and doesn’t look like he knows what to do with it.Fab a giant of a CB, Hendo after 20 mins just ran the show till the final whistle.
If fact everyone brought their top game today, even the subs just knitted into the rythm  right away, but for me motm was Bob. Linking up the play, deft passes, never stopped running, creative, defensive, and two sublime finishes.
Keep rechecking the first. Sure that was a no look goal.
Can var just verify that for me please.

From Barney Ronay today: "The Liverpool FC marketing department might want to think about exploiting commercially the sheer visceral power of Jordan Henderson’s cry of “TRENT”, heard every few minutes during that early period as Liverpool’s right-back wandered a little – and surely an attractive option as either ring tone or doorbell chime."
