Well done Southampton,we got what we deserved,2 away wins out of 9 all season in the league,we are not title contenders with that record. If we don't buy a CB soon then the top 4 may be out of the equation. We have been awful away apart from Chelsea and Palace.

Like my boy said, "we're playing three midfielders in defence."

Surely we need to buy a CB in Jan.

We honestly need to start panicking. Too many midfielders not enough centre halves.

If money is an issue sell a few of those midfielders we have amassed and spend it where its needed.

We sold Lovren and wanked ourselves off about it. there was no replacement coming through and we didn't bring anybody in.

People may say our troubles are up front not at the back but it has thrown our whole structure out of kilter.

Our midfield is playing in our f**king defence for christ sake. When have you ever seen that at this level?

Plus we can’t play so high and strangle the life out of teams, press them into mistakes.

A huge F**k up not replacing Lovren, and will be inexcusable if we don’t bring in a replacement now.

Yes,(we did it against WBA in the last few seconds),makes less sense as Allison came up for the previous corner.

I'm pinning all my hopes on the outside chance we're deliberately taking the piss and are going to put our foot in the gas when we play United.

As it is - think we need to get Jota back asap.  Doubt we would be struggling with shots on target with him playing.

Looking at the game and the stat sheet we did see a typical Liverpool game. Last year we won such a game because we created a couple more chances, but our offensive game is highly anti-methodical, so it could easily be a period of just bad luck. We need to roll up our sleeves and continue to work hard, not bitching too much. At some point we'll get it back.

I'd be curious to see the single stats of mileage. Did our players put the same mileage effort as usual or less?

I’m not gonna lie. The title win was dampened because of covid. And now (and Iv said this all season) it doesn’t even feel like football.
It’s fun for neutral maybe, but fans and atmosphere make football.
My enthusiasm and interest isn’t there as it once was.

We are out of form, but my kids can’t go to school, my wife can’t go to work, money is tight anyway and we can’t even see family members. So yeah, it is what it is. But it ain’t real football.

We are playing crap atm, make no mistake, but football doesn’t even feel like an escape from real life issues atm. It’s just another reminder that things are sh*t.

So I’m not going to moan about us. The last two seasons have at least given me reason to allow the team to have a bad run of games without me slagging them off. Blips come and go. 99 and 97 point seasons are not the norm.

So COYR! But hurry up and F**k off covid.

      Lather, rinse, repeat.

3 games. Though felt like the same game 3 times.

To be honest, we didn't even look like scoring tonite. Lacked composure, some important players like TAA & Salah gone missing, side to side, nobody taking it on themselves to beat a guy and get a proper F***ing strike away. They should've beaten us by more, even with all our possession.

Hard to understand how we've gone from whacking Palace to a toothless struggle.

      Really really disappointed :(

Why are we not taking shots from range? Other teams do it (Maddison, Fernandes, De Bryune). They usually directly or indirectly lead to goals. We are the cause of our downfall trying to score from crosses.

Well you're always likely to have a bad spell at some point in a season, and we are definitely having one now. The entire right side of our team has basically disappeared the last 3 games. Trent should have been hooked sooner. To be fair to Ox, Shaq and Milner they are all just back from injury. Mo ran around looking to get involved but just couldn't get in the game.

A CB has to be a priority now, if Jürgen doesn't trust either of the young guys there. But that wasn't the main problem today (or the last 2 games either). We just have  several key players out of form at the same time (and not many fit options in reserve). Just have to hope we get through this bad spell quickly and hopefully hit form again for the Man U game and then the rest of the season.

We've been spoilt rotten over the last two years but that was awful and we're in a bad spot of form. Don't think it's tactical, or about our injuries even, it's simply sub par performances all over the pitch from front to back. Our final pass/shot is terrible at the moment and we're conceding goals you could charitably describe as 'sloppy'. Players need to take responsibility for this, just as they've (rightfully) taken credit for all the good stuff they've done recently. Onwards.

I don’t really know what to say about that.
We look so disjointed in the last third.
Frail defensively, which may be expected, mid field are hitting mainly static targets, who are getting dispossessed by defenders prepared to go and meet thd ball with aggression.
The refereeing was quite appallingly one sided.
Thiago getting a yellow for nothing, and Mane getting dragged all over the place, and getting nothing.
I’m wondering if there’s some discord in the dressing room, but I can’t see us buying a goal at the moment.
We may have had a load of the ball second half, but overall, tactically undone by Southampton.

Games like this happen in a season, but not three on the trot if you have any champions aspirations.

      Saddened more than anything.
MOTM ? Gotta give that some careful thought.
