Any idea why Aston Villa did not play their best players?

      You are joking?

Christ almighty when did you start supporting this club?

      He is our Captain!

The whole team is playing poorly the last few games.

Just how i see it,and what kind of question is when did i start supporting this club got to do with anything?Hendo has been poor for a while, wonder why Jürgen took him off?no mention yet of an injury?if he has an injury then it would explain his performance tonight but not previous ones. You said he is our captain,so if a captain is playing badly you can't drop him because he's the captain??

Painful. Can see why we are struggling to score goals. Individuals shooting from nonsense land rather than playing football.

Ehh why do you think Jürgen took him off?

Maybe to rest him before the Mancs game he will 100% start in?

Thiago the only player who doesn't want to run or boot it into the brick wall of defenders.

The rest of them have the subtlety of a bag of bricks.

Well done to the Villa kids. Showed us up first half and dealt with us easily enough at 4-1.

      Good luck to them.

Not really, whether we'd have won or not, some of the posters in here could seriously do with a lobotomy. It would make their posts more intelligent. It's even funnier seeing as how the outcome is basically what every sane person expected it would be seeing the lineups.

Knee jerking bunch of douche bags like I've never seen before.

So you were happy at half time then?

      Thiago aside, pretty awful really.

Big week of training ahead to find the gears we need to beat United next weekend.

LITERALLY men against boys, they looked so young :)

Some things to take from it:
      - Thiago starting to look the part, really like his passing
      - as result, don't see Williams playing much in the PL - likely Fab/Hendo until Matip fit or CB signed
      - Salah still looks well of it, we started Taki vs Palace, though not sure Jürgen would do it vs Utd
      - Shaq was better, though hard to judge given opposition

If was us though having to play our u23s/u18s vs full Villa side I'd be a bit pissed at the FA. Bit of a farce.

But a wins a win even vs a bunch of kids, so good for morale.

      By a country mile.

I actually agree with whoever said play him and Shaqiri against the mancs.

Don't really care who drops out of Hendo and Gini as with Thiago and Shaq we see much more progressive football than we have done.

It’s called passion, and I'm digging out form, not the manager and not specific players. You continue to be a miserable mute.

I know they were young, but, on times we looked like the LFC class of last season. I'm hoping that does something to our players from a psychological point of view.

Well done to the kids though...can't help wonder what might have happened had they not run out of gas!
