              Alisson
      TAA Hendo Fab Robbo
        Jones Thiago Gini
       Salah Bobby Mane

If fit, would slot Matip in, then Hendo into the middle with Jones to the bench.
AOC hasn't done enough to get ahead of Curtis on recent games played.
Unbelievable really, who would have thought would see Hendo/Fab lining out at CB in PL matches. Just shows the strength we have in midfield when we can still field Thiago, Gini + one from AOC/Jones/Shaq there.
Salah has been poor, barely had a kick last three games - but EVEN then, can't see Shaq/Taki coming into a game like this for him. If Jota was available, sure - but thats not happening.
Mane hasn't played as well as we know he can, but man is he a battler, even when not in top gear, he will influence games.
Bobby has been hit and miss - but has scored some great/important goals, so has to start.

Hard to believe Utd are top of the table. Don't think they would be if we had 2 from VVD/Gomez/Matip playing week in week out, but there you go - they're in good form and will come to sit, soak up the pressure and hit fast on the break. And likely try cause us problems from set pieces.

Always billed as a massive game, but for us I think it is.
Citeh are stringing wins together, and could/likely will take 3 from their game in hand and go ahead of us also. Going further behind both would mean need both to drop points / for us to out point both.  Not impossible, but we know the kind of runs Citeh can put together.
So would really prefer to beat these F***ing wankers :)

With Matip in training today I expect he starts Sunday. Jürgen may decide that, even if he is out again for the following two weeks, it may be worth it to have him for this one.

To me, having Henderson leading the press in midfield is essential.

If he does, I think the only question remaining is if our finishers can finish.

If Matip's training today, unless he pulls a muscle getting into bed tonight, he's playing on Sunday.

      Alisson
      Trent - Fab - Matip - Robbo
                   Hendo
          Thiago    -     Gini
      Salah -    Firmino -    Mane

      Simple.

Absolutely the best team we can field, i would even consider Jones in the middle to give more attacking threat

Jones has been useless for a few games now. Definitely doesn't deserve a starting spot over Gini, Thiago or Hendo at this point.

Really don’t know about this one. Maybe playing United this moment in time is exactly what we need to find our way back or maybe it will be a big disaster and we end up being humiliated to our bones....

Couldn’t be a better game to shake off the last few performances which have been awful. It’s going to be very close for all top 4 positions this season so going 6 points behind is not what we want. Lose this and I think both city and Utd could pull away

If OGS has done his homework, he'll know to sit back, keep it tight (as crap as United are at the back, they're far better than the teams we've struggled to break down), then let Bruno & the rest of them tear us apart on the break with their pace. If that doesn't work, VAR will help them out.
Every single one of our players, to a man, has to step up massively compared to what we've seen recently.

I want us to win this with every fibre of my being, but I'd be lying if I said I'm confident we'll do them.

Expecting a performance tomorrow, even with our defensive injury crisis.

Gollum has just been on Football Focus talking about last seasons match at Anfield. He says we only won it with the last kick of the game, that they were always in the game, and that it was close, they only needed a shade more quality. Is he on drugs? That match should have been five nil at least. Actually I'm glad he's so F***ing deluded, shows what a sh*t manager he is.

The cheating c**t Fernandes has been mouthing off about the Mancs winning 21 league titles and us still being on 19 says he wants to win so their crew can wind our lads up, he's gonna be at it like an Olympic grade diver.
It seems the sending off rule for play-acting does not apply to this insufferable cheat, actually the red card for play-acting was instigated after the Mancs consistently mobbed the ref and intimidated officials to gain an advantage under Ferguson's tenure, looks like he's had a word with Ole.
