If Joel is fit then he needs to start.  Not only because he is our only half-fit, senior CB, but also because he could just as easily get injured during training, whilst making dinner, or rolling out of bed in the morning....  He's only fit 10% of the time and he's a damn good player when fit, so if he can take the field then put him in the 11.

Drop your hardest pressing player. I think not. Firmino was made for games like this. bring Shaqiri on late if nothing is working. Otherwise you play your best players and contrary to some meatheads on this forum, Bobby is one of our best players still.

I'm with clint on this one. Shaq has looked like creating and I think salah would cause maguire all sorts of problems with his pace and movement.

Problem here is as soon as someone doesn't put bobby in their team they are classed as 'one of those meatheads' . I love bobby but he would be on the bench if I was picking the team on Sunday. However, I'm not :-)

The 2 training session rule...though id suspect Saturdays will be light so Joel would really have needed yesterday and today to get through 2 good sessions

If Matip is out just go 1 at the back, Fab v cavani...Trent and Robbo will handle Rashford and Pogba. Leave hendo the protecting that trio while marshalling the pocket of space Fernandez will like...Thiago Gini our 2 in the middle. Shaq the 3rd man in

If he trains today and tomorrow will be fine need him I am afraid

I agree, Matip would still get the same injury if you ease him back in slowly. This game is massive

Shaq is better suited against teams that sit deep and we have to unlock the bus. Against teams that can play football he really doesn't have the work rate to suffocate the opposing player with the press and recover the ball in attacking positions. Just not his game.

4-2-3-1 hasn't really worked as well this year so don't think this is the game when you try it again and hope it works. You go with the formation that has won you the world.

I'm not playing 4231 ... shaq is in Salah's position in my team, and Mo through the middle.

Shaq got 2 vs united in Liverpool colours ... he can score and create and his set pieces are dynamite.

Yes, I like this, its almost exactly what I said yesterday, Henderson in the floating CB/DM role.

That gamble leads to us losing a ub that msy well be important in another sector later in the game. Never a fan of risking someone not right, he could go after 5 minutes and we would have to reshape

He could also last the whole game, or he could get injured in training or at home as others have pointed out. If he's fit he plays, he's our best available CB

Remember, it's a sport hate, not a personal one. I would never throw a fire extinguisher at you, Keith.

I know that Robby  :) However, I know one or two on here might want to throw that extinguisher on me.... After they've emptied it on me first.  :lmao:

Is it true talk of a banner/flag for Rashford??

Total respect for that young man and what he is doing and when the crowds return he deserves a standing ovation when his name his called, but a banner has to be a bit much no?
