Mellor V Arsenal was a decent finish and let off celebration.

All three goals that game were absolute class.

Was one of our first big wins under Rafa that game so will always be a special one for me.

      Vladi Smicer's LFC career

Rescued at 'the last minute' (OK not technically the last minute but you know what I mean)

Lovely technical intelligent player whose body was ravaged by the demands of English footie - hello Naby are you reading this?  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

Was at Vlad's debut at Hillsborough, Hyppia's debut too, and Westerveld's, and (in some style as it turned out) Titi Camara's. Was in home stand and went mental when Robbie scored and spent the rest of the game getting death threats from all around  :lmao:

Fair to say up till Istanbul Vlad's LFC career had been pretty forgettable, and then he goes and does THAT

Anyone else had less than amazing LFC careers but then did something amazing in their last game to change fans' perception of their time at the club? And I don't mean Lorius Karius type 'amazing'

Good memories of Yossi. Was at an sos meeting in a pub in Dublin, massive pub, packed with reds. We were in the hunt that season, place went beserk when Yossi netted  that goal

Same here! I went that game and it was the most delirious away game I’ve ever been. Most of the away end stayed back a full 20 minutes after the game singing ‘we’re gonna win the league’. Just a bloody shame that we didn’t win the bloody thing!

T4. Thanks. I remember Ox putting a TAA-like peach of a ball in the box, Lovern doing all the hard work, and Klavan getting the glory. 😄

Be rude not to have a topic on last minute winners after yesterday.

Last minute and injury time winners, I believe we are or were at one stage the premier league leaders in this department but we done it long before the premier league and in Europe

So your memories here and clips for those who know how to attach!!

First up for me, Stan Collymore v Newcastle 1996. That won us nothing in the end but it was a result that kept us in the mix, a brilliant side to watch, Anfield rocking

" Barnes, Rush, Barnes, stlii John Barnes, Collymore CLOSING INNN"

My first thought when it went in, was it was  revenge for the last minute decisive goal against us in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

But there's 15 of them to choose from in the Late Late Kop Show below.

Ah man, you know it's a freaky night when Lovren and Sakho are your winners.

      3 - Origi against bitters
      2 - McAllister 40 yarder against bitters 2000/2001
      1 - Alli of course

Incidentally, we're the top when it comes to last minute winners.

      https://www.premierleague.com/news/1153081

33 winners in 90th minute or later, with Arsenal 2nd (25) and Utd 3rd (22). This was according to stats in April 2019. Since then we've scored a few more.

Strange I always felt Utd would be top, but alas. Another record we hold  :)
