No there will be 5 ENG Teams if that scenario happens.

The permutations ignoring Man United and assuming Chelsea and Leicester each win their last match are as follows:

      Assuming we win out
The worst case - would be a Chelsea win out and Leicester wins their last match. Chelsea would qualify and Leicester and us would be on 69 points, where GD and such kicks in.

The best case - Leicester wins or draws with Chelsea. We would be fourth in both cases with 69 points. If Leicester wins out, they secure third. If both draw and win their last matches, Leicester is third with 70 points and Chelsea would be fifth with 68 points.

Assuming we draw and win our last two matches
The worst case - Chelsea beats or draws Leicester and both win their last match. We would be fifth.

The best case - Leicester wins out and assuming Chelsea wins its last match. Chelsea and us would have 67 points in fourth, where GD and such kicks in.

Conclusion assuming both Leicester and Chelsea win their final match:
We should win out and hope for Leicester to draw or beat Chelsea.
If we draw and win our subsequent matches, we will need Leicester to beat Chelsea, from which fourth between us and Chelsea would depend on GD and such.

If Leicester lose to Chelsea but then defeat Spurs in their final game, and we defeat Burnley and Palace, we will be level on points with Leicester City, tied for 4th place. Our goal difference would be at least +23 (we are even with Leicester on goal difference now with +21), so it would depend on margin of victory and defeat in the remaining matches.

Next tiebreaker in the Premier league is goals scored.  Leicester currently have 65 goals scored and we have 63!  Certainly that could be even by the end of next Sunday as well.

The third tierbreaker is points in head to head meeting. We wont at Anfield and they won at King Power Stadium - so even.

However the 4th tiebreaker is away goals in head to head meeting. We kept a clean sheet at Anfield (3-0) but Mo scored a goal  at Leicester in a 3-1 defeat. That means we have the 4th tiebreaker and that it won't go to a coin flip or a playoff for the Champions League berth (if all 4 tiebreakers were even the Premier League would split the 4th-5th prize money between the teams and decalre both teams as finishing 4th - but not sure about UEFA).

I really don't think Leicester will win at Tottenham. Especially considering Kane having his eyes set on the golden boot, with fans also present in the stadium.

If Kane wants to see a golden boot maybe Mo could whatsapp him some pictures

Definitely goal difference, however that head to head rule might kick in if GD is the same

Which is a very possible scenario.

So support Leicester for 90 minutes on Tuesday. Got it. If I were to bet on that match I'd tip Chelsea, but who knows?

      Defo, all in for Leicester.

And I hope cheatski lose the champions league final too. :-)

quick maths last night too, I dont think we can finish outside top 7 now, so some sort of european football is certain.

0 wins or draws = Europa Conference
      1 more win Europa cup,
      2 wins Champions league.

Which part do you need clarification on? Yes. I do realise we’re fighting for fourth. :f_wah:

We're fighting for fourth with one hand tied behind our back all season...

I for one will be immensely happy if we make it.

If we could just view each 10 minute period, from the very first whistle, as if it were the last 10 minutes of the West Brom game and treat it with the same level of urgency and a sense of ‘Please, Lord Almighty, let’s take it to these backward, turgid fuckwits and smash them from the word go’, then we shouldn’t need to worry about permutations.

Good mental strategy this. As long as they’re not worn out for the last 15

Correct. My bad. Still, I don't see them winning it tbh. Let's see what happens. We may as well finish 3rd.

83 pòints wins it for me. So city need 9 wins from 14 games

77 would have won it. 2nd lowest ever required had city finished on it

Shows the overall quality and inconsistency of the league as a whole

Not just us who have underperformed in a strange year

Woy has announced he is stepping down at the end of the season.

Hope it doesn't lead to his players trying extra hard in his final game...

On the other side of the coin, Harry Kane might think Levy is gonna let him go and will want to end his Spurs career with a hat-trick at Leicester and it wouldn't be a surprise if he got it (now someone will tell me he's injured and I haven't been paying attention)

Anyway let's worry about Burnley first...

Aren’t fans back in the stadium for the final game? Don’t care how hard they play we should be amped up and too much for them.
