Much better than previous weeks. Essentially undone by a lovely free kick that wasnt a free and a bad mistake from a young player who should not be on the pitch

Only other issue Id have is Jones was played in 2 areas where we cant see him involved.

Milner for me has to play until Hendo is vack. Shocking miss but he adds steele and leadership

Salah was great today. Bob was better, but Rys and Mily in our team are disheartening for me. Miky looks 35 for sure and Rys looks like a kid who would struggle in league 1. Thiago and TAA struggled IMO too. TAA really does need to be dropped. What a wild thing to say

These owners have left us with Rhys Williams as our centre back.

Can't risk them with Spurs up next.

Klopp knows we're in a proper top 4 battle now and if we don't get CL next season we're in trouble.

We were in trouble as soon as we stupidly decided to go into a season with 3 centre backs ... 2 of whom are made of glass.

We made it through to January and the club has done nothing about it  ... f*cking staggering.

If we fall out of the top 4 we only have ourselves to blame. Window is open for another week. Pretty obvious we are just going to sit and do nothing.

Come the summer  it will be 'we don't need to sign anyone as vvd and gomez are like 2 new players' ... yeah yeah.

As for tonights game ... it was better. But still bad goals to give away. Ali should have done better with 2 of the goals in my view. It was obvious where the freekick was going yet we had nobody between the ball and where it ended up. It was just a question of whether he could find thd corner. I called it a goal before he even hit it.

3 games ... if we lose at spurs, west ham and Leicester as looks likely forget the top 4. City utd and Leicester arnt going anywhere. Everton and Spurs are there too and Chelsea will be in the mix.

      At least we scored tonight.

Spurs next week is now a must win game.

Lose that our confidence will drop even further with no new signing to lift the squad.

At least Jota will be back in a couple of weeks to add some drive.

Just can’t see a win at all, Son and Kane licking their lips.

Can somebody explain why we play so high against ManU? They laugh at us for we play exactly like they want us to play while they sit back and wait like a spider for the fly. This strategy to play very high is only suited against weak teams and ManU - though not that good - is not a weakling.

Anyway, this season is turning into a bad one: no PL title (don't kid yourself with "we're only at halftime"), no FA-Cup and we don't look like a force to make CL happen. I dunno. Our whole play looks pretty much like it looked back in more successful times. I cannot pinpoint it, we just lack goals and get too many goals, but that is not the cause, only the effect. It must be something that is not seen easily.

Even in defeat a spark can be created

      Roll on Thursday and Spurs

      100% agree Brian.

More positives there than in recent games.

A shadow of last season, even allowing for injuries, Milner a season too far and poor play from Trent recently, we haven't bought therefore we're paying for it now big time

I think it was too, as does that c**t Shearer. He waited on the contact but it was there. Soft but they get given.

He was already going down before the contact !

      Disappointed, but not surprised.
Was way more pissed off against Burnley, cause they were F***ing sh*te.
We're in poor form, not scoring and away to United who are on a decent run.

Still, at 2-2 thought it could've gone either way. But they were just more clinical.
We faded then at the end if anything which wasn't great.
Least we got a couple of goals from Mo, so that's something. On the scoresheet.

TAA and Williams, thought b4 game would be weakness and they were.
Thiago started well, but faded a lot as game went on, and for the free kick goal, could he jump to head it? Was hooked directly after.
Ended up with a midfield of Milly/Jones/Shaq.

Dunno when this will end... just hope it'll be sooner rather than later...

Some signs of life but without CB reinforcements this season is likely to Peter out.

Fab as well as he has done but giving away the pointless free kick and culpable in the penalty against Burnley showing he is not a CB.

      As for Williams oh dear.

Yea I fear for us if Maureen decides to play in any way an attacking formation.

They are in form now and will fancy the win.

Yeah, I am also disappointed by Thiago. His game looks beautiful, but also very horizontal, kind of like a better version of Gini, but still not what we need: a guy that drives it vertically into the box and feeds our strikers.

In hindsight one could argue that our demise began last season after the restart due to Corona. We didn't look good, but many thought it was due to our heavy lead in the league.

Same here tbh, nobody likes losing especially to them but we saw an improvement. Yeah. some mistakes but if Klopp isn't allowed to sign a CB there's not much we can do.
I'll be 100% honest, even if we'd be sat here in the FA Cup 5th round I still wouldn't feel much better about our league situation, roll on Thursday.

Yes and Jürgen is expected to work miracles, when Jürgen goes it will really hit us hard unless the FSG sell up,not buying Jürgen a CB is criminal,no disrespect for Rhys but if we had an experienced and first choice CB today next to Fab we don't lose that game.
