Great performance . Great to keep the pressure on city.

A lot of good performances but im giving man of the match to Philips, brilliant

Love Phillip. Total warrior well aware of his limitations and keeps it simple.

Just a few minutes ago he made a great interception and instead of trying to run with the ball just passed it up to a midfielder and went back to position.

      Philips should be starting more.

      Henderson future is at CB.

      Thiago doesn’t shown us down.

Shaq is an important piece of the teams jigsaw.

Jones will be a future powerhouse midfielder.

      Mo playing into form..

Wonderful win, shame about conceding late on but its a miracle that did not happen earlier in the game.

I still don't want to ever see Origi in the team though.

      We really are back now.

I hope Jürgen settles now with Phillips, so that either Hendo or Fab get free for their natural midfield spot.

But Phillips needs a partner and Matip may be cooked.

      Ahh right.

Never heard of that Davies before.

Hopefully it's bullshit Preston are struggling in the Championship aren't they?

Might as well stick with Phillips and Williams.

It's no longer a question of quality, though. If Matip is done for the season, you have very little options left without able to get anyone in for the rest of the season.

Excellent performance, especially with all the injuries. Always looked like we would win, it was total domination from the start. It was important we sat on them early on and didn't give them any encouragement, which we did really well. After that it was just about getting the first goal.

MOTM is obviously Mo. Second goal was world class. Could have had a hat trick, as the chance from the Origi cutback was easier than the 2 he scored. Back at his best at a good time.

Whole team played well though, very disciplined, controlled performance. Plenty of belief in adversity, which is something lacking on here while it's still 0-0.
Phillips good again. Shame he missed that header for their goal, but I don't think it'll bother him too much - I like his composure.

I'm guessing Mo will be rested against Brighton, and then hopefully we'll have the whole front 3 back for City. But the guys who filled in today all did well.
