I have no idea about about how good he is but it will do us some good to finally have a left-footed Cb in the mix.

Know nothing about him but we needed a CB so if he has been scouted by the club I’m sure he will do a job give him a few weeks to get used to the new system.

On the basis of that I'm declaring him the new VVD. No, I mean he does actually look good there, although obviously any brain fart moments etc are not included.

The fact he can play LB is a bit of a bonus. For £2m, seems more than worth the shot.

I'm not one that's bothered about buying players like this as minimal outlay but the possibility you have a gem on your hands.

Robbo is a perfect example of this.

Preston fans seem to rate him and saying they're being shafted due to his length of contract. Hard on them but from a club POV if it all fails he will probably be sold on down the line at a 500% profit.

Hopefully though it doesn't fail, he becomes a part of the squad for many a season.

Preston gave us Lawro, a class player..They also gave us the original Thommo Peter Thompson and most recently Neil Mellor.but dont forget Shanks himself came through Preston.

For example I've been fairly consistent on Origi not being good enough for us. I did say Trent and Bobby should be dropped a few weeks back but that was when they were both playing crap. I never said they were rubbish players, just that they were going through a bad patch, there is a big difference.

BTW having a Man Utd fan constantly try to wind me up on a Liverpool forum is starting to get a bit too surreal for my liking so back off a bit, I think you have become a bit too comfortable on here lately.

I would say Car is about 75% possible depending on Marseille finding a replacement today. Botman about 50% as Lille are in financial difficulty and may need money.

Caleta-Car of Marseille but I'm less confident that it will happen.

Will be great to see another Barrovian playing for us, don't think the last lad to play for us from Barrow did too bad! If Jürgen ever had a hard time understanding any of the scouser in the club he's in for a treat with the Barrovian dialect 😂

It’s Ozan Kabak from Schalke. We working on paying a loan fee of around £2.5m to sign the centre-back, with an option to buy the player in the summer if Schalke can find a replacement for him this window

Yup I read that, apparently he's not a happy boy the deal fell through but who can blame him.

Honestly I'd never heard of the guy before yesterday so much more happy we're going for Kabak who I wanted us to sign in the Summer as a replacement for Lovren.

Pleased with this deal and if his stats are anything to go by then he'll be a very good option for us until VVD comes back. With the Kabak deal pretty much done these 2 can get up and running straight away i think. Not too conserned that Davies is from the EPL and Kabak is in a really bad Shalke side, when you've got the best goalie in the world behind you and getting Fabinho and Hendo back into midfield then they'll have plenty of protection.

One of my poker mates big Preston fan. He says that he's very good, never watched him before I asked if he was Premier league standard? His words, I don't know but hopes so. Apparently they turned down 4.5 million at the start of the season hoping he would sign a new contract.
