Liverpool 0-1 Brighton & Hove Albion: In game and Post Match discussion
      Feb 03, 2021 07:15:41 pm

Anfield waiting to show them who we are, the Champions

Starting XI: Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Henderson, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Thiago, Shaqiri, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Tsimikas, Origi, Davies, R. Williams, Cain, N. Williams.

Liverpool make two changes for this evening’s Anfield encounter with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Alisson Becker is ruled out due to illness, so Caoimhin Kelleher begins in goal, while Roberto Firmino replaces Divock Origi in attack.

New signing Ben Davies is named on the bench.

At least it's illness for Ali rather than a muscle injury.

How unlucky though to have Fab, Mane and Ali ruled out of games within the space of a week. When your luck's out, it's really out!

Not as bad line up, but bench is a bit thin on the ground.
Not sure I’d use any apart from Ox and Curtis, except of course in the case of an emergency. Like an injury or sumat 😬
Still going for 3:0. Mo is on fire, and Shaqu is there to fuel that fire

      Good line up.

What's the story with the keeper? Not Covid is it?

Just hoping these are back for Sunday, but I suppose we have to prepare ourselves for this not being the case.  :-[

But now we have business to do vs. Brighton. Lineup is plenty strong. Come on Boys!

So without the "FSG needs to buy a centre back and support Klopp" content and the "Why isn't Minamino playing?" content, what will the clientele have to talk about during the match thread today?

3rd game in 6 days for Salah, Thiago and Milly, let's hope it doesn't cost us with a muscular injury, particularly with Gramps Jimmy.

Thought Ox would get a start, or Jones.

Going to be a tough slog. Need to stay patient in the game like against West Ham and take the chances when they come.

Interesting when we deem it fit to play these new lads as I'm guessing unless forced upon us it won't be City.

Really tough season on us this campain and while a title challenge would be great CL spots has to be the realistic outcome.

Good question. And Origi isn't starting either to blame for everything.

Thought Milly would play being taken off early Sunday thought Thiago might have a rest might take him off early if in control

I guess Jürgen is going all in with the best side until after Sunday then a rest as it's FA Cup midweek right?

But wasn't he subbed off because of tightness or something like that?

Cramping up possibly but agree risky thought Jones would be nailed on a start for one of them

Milner probably the least likely to have an injury issue of the bunch ;D

Ox, Origi and Jones our attacking options off the bench, along with young Jake Cain who I suspect only gets in if we are up by 3 or more goals late.

Thiago has played a lot recently and surely he'll start against City. Maybe take him off after 60?
