Yep. The state of this run of games it's hard to see where we bed them in.

No idea how we can line up tomorrow and not be vulnerable. If Fab is back I think I might actually stick with the midfielders back there for this one.

Think well be less vulnerable with Fab and Hendo biting at there ankles in the midfield with Thiago pulling the strings. No point signing 2 centre halves to leave them sat on their arses on the bench...Kabak Im sure will start not sure who with as Nats done nothing worthy of being dropped.

      I agree.

I'd start Kabak but possibly alongside one of Hendo or Fabinho if both are fit.

If Fabinho doesn't make it I'd be tempted to play Kabak and Phillips with Hendo sitting.

Would be like us though to sign to CB only to play two CM at the back.  ;D

Liverpool v Man City does not strike me as a game to give a debut to a 20 year old centre back but I am a mere football watcher and am happy to be proved wrong on that.

I hope Klopp plays conservative for a draw. Let City make the game and be ready for counters - that's our natural game anyway. I'll take a point. This is not the important game, it's those games against Brighton & Co. we need to win. I mean what was the point winning vs. Tottenham and then lose to Burnley and Brighton?!?

Because if we can't win EVERY game we shouldn't win ANY of them.

      If Fab and Mane are fit enough to start, I’d be tempted to go;

                       Alisson
      Trent - Fabinho - Kabak - Robbo
                   Hendo - Gini
                        Thiago
             Salah - Firmino - Mane

As long has one of Hendo or Fab is in that holding position. Phillips has done well but I’m afraid City will play around him, when his strength is in the air, and just booting it away, we need to play out from the back here.

If Fab is not fit to start then yeah stick Phillips or Davies back there, feck it.

Win and Jürgen Klopp is a genius. Lose and wtf is he doing???  I may be wrong, but I won't be surprised if the owners are dragged into blame as well.

Hoping we come out firing on all cylinders and put a few past them. Unfortunately with our form and injuries, I hope we don’t get spanked. City are on fire, just hope the we’re the fire engine to douse those flames...

Usually I am very upbeat about this fixture. I expect us to win but not this time. I have a real bad feeling about this game today - I just hope we don't get spanked.

But this time, I am really dreading it. For one, they don't need to win as they are so far ahead - that they may just have their RB/LB sit back and nullifying our attack.

coming away with a draw, a good performance and no injuries would be ideal.

It’s time for our midfield to start chipping in with goals. The spearhead of the famed front 3 are too heavily relied upon, albeit with good reason. Hendo has proven to everyone what a quality player he is and worthy captain, but his paucity of goals is a glaring weakness in an otherwise excellent arsenal. Gini gives the odd goal, but more would be welcome and Thiagos skill set is so glaringly bright that he must surely contribute at some point.

Hope we show them why we’re champions today!

Hope to see Kabak at the back with Henderson or Fabinho and whoever doesn’t partner him in midfield.

Just go out and fight, if they play their best and hardest, the result should be fair.

42 days and 4 games since we scored at Anfield. Think well need a minimum of 2, likely  to win today.....for that we need everyone to wake the F**k up and act like champions

No idea what team will turn up but we usually do for The big games

Can’t believe Diogo is likely to miss 3 months with an injury - now Sadio is doubtful
Fabinho has his 3rd injury of the season, Alison his 3rd injury 3 centre backs out for the season, naby is naby, Thiago missed 2 months, hendo injured

And we let Minamino go on loan

To say not fussed about the result is a bit too far but yes it's not a be all and end all game for us now considering it's a top four fight.

We just need to see enough promising signs that we can turn our home form back around again before it's too late.

Don't get me wrong if we lose I will be annoyed but after a day or so it won't be a big deal for me because in my opinion, we are out of the title race. So like you say the main thing to come out of this game is a good performance.

Going for a win today ! We start as underdogs with everybody expecting us to lose but I reckon the lads will be fired up and want to put the last embarrassment to bed . Team selection will be interesting to see if any of our new centre backs are on the subs bench
