RB could have scored easily three goals. And if they don't give us two gifts I don't see us scoring more than one, maybe two. Our crisis is not over. We just got a break.

Bet you hate Christmas and birthdays too dont you? Dark cloud.

That game was the springboard we needed to find ourselves again & European football distraction was the remedy required..

With player like Fabinho, Jota & Keita available against the Blueshite I think we will go on an unbeaten run now..

Not sure about any of those three for Saturday. Pretty certain Jota is a No.

It was a solid performance and hard-working efforts without self-inflicting mistakes which were very pleasing to all.
Well, and excellent two goals were capitalized on Leipzig's defense mistakes.

We need the same performance against Everton to regain our credit in the league and put some points on the board.

Decent performance. In terms of the bulk of play, it was about the same level as against City and Leicester - both of which were also ok for most of the game. The difference is we didn't throw in any catastrophic f**k ups. Makes it a hell of a lot easier to win games if you don't basically kick the ball in your own net a couple of times.

Hopefully that result will settle down our nerves at the back, especially Ali. Decent second game from Kabak.

Thought we maybe didn't try and press as high as usual in this game as well. Maybe let them come out a bit more, which left the space for Mo and Sadio. Might be a good tactical tweak, at least until Joe and Virgil are back.

We need to build on this performance.

I really like Jones and his silk touches. I would not replace Wijnaldum next Summer. I would play Fabinho, Henderson and Thiago plus Jones, Keita & AOC as players to rotate.

Kabak impressed me yesterday. It has shown that he has experience in the German League.

MOTM: Salah; Jones and Kabak close.

Yeah, but on the other hand I do not cry out when we struggle. This team is not so bad as some might make it when it loses, but it ain't as good as some make it when it wins.

But shout-out to Jones. I really think he's the reason they won't give Gini a contract.

Utter bollocks to be frank. They had a handful of chances, as any team will. Out of an hour and half of football, I’d say they had a good 20 minutes. The rest was all us. If you fail to see that, you’re likely in need of an eye test...

      Quote from billythered
Really enjoyed last night, good game of football helped by a brilliant referee who just let the game flow, I think he recognised we were two attacking teams and just let us get on with it, a lesson to be learnt for our puppet stringed refs in the EPL,

So pre-match we were all slightly concerned how it would turn out, will we score, we need to score, will we suffer more injuries? In the end though it was just another day at the office as some ‘Chaser’ bloke would say, and it was really, RB were decent for 30 mins out of the 95, especially that first 20 mins, if I’m honestly I was concerned, but then we got a foot hold, passed it around somewhere near our best and slowly started to dominate,

It could have turned out differently had RB found the net instead of Ali’s post, and that was as close as they got to be fair, we on the other hand on another night could have had a hat full, imagine that same game where we would be at full strength, Virgil et al, I think RB blown away would have been a appropriate headline,

So we’re almost through, a early goal in the second leg and it’s done, and into the hat for the next challenge, by which time we hope we will be better equipped to deal with whoever we have to deal with, perhaps a more tougher opponent than RB Leipzig, who were, may I remind you, we were concerned about,

Could it be argued we’ve turned yet another corner ?
           Y  N  W  A

There were 7 bookings during the game, I've seen games better reffed before.

As always, scorelines dictate responses after games. Until 78 minutes at Leicester, we played well, but it was what happened after that, that got the headlines. The City game was more or less the same. I didn't think it was a great performance in this one tbh, we simply took our chances and they didn't take theirs, but other than that it was a very even game, and we still have work to do before the tie is done. But if we get there, other teams will put away the chances in later rounds that Leipzig didn't. So if we can get VVD back after the next international break, get him back. We could have 15 games still to play between then and the end of the season.

This tie is nowhere near over!

We capitalized on their only 2 mistakes and they could have scored with the very last kick of the game from that Asian fella, how he missed, I don't know?

Thanks F**k for that and then there is Anfield if we have to play the tie away. Please for the love of God, if we do have to play the tie away, make it happen in London!!!
