RIP Phil Chisnall

Former red Phil Chisnall passed away on Thursday.

Only made a handful of appeatances and is  best known for being the last direct transfer from utd to Liverpool, in 1964. His last gsme was in 66 v Celtic in the semis of the cup winners cup

Also has the claim of being the first man to kick a ball on match of the day!!

May he rest in peace and condolences to his family and friends

The old man said he was named as our 12th man for the final against Leeds in 65, but as you weren't allowed subs back then he never got his chance at Wembley.
Would've been interesting, if subs were allowed, to see what would've happened if he had replaced Gerry Byrne after 10 minutes.
