May as well talk about other teams transfer activity seeing as nothing is happening for us - SSN reporting Arsenal have made a Ā£60m bid for Caicedo.

Mount and Bellingham would be rad, but also expensive as AF. But, a genuine reboot was always going to be. I think Tyler Morton and Stefan Barhetic could potentially save us on spending for 2 other MFs, so maybe we're in a position to spend on two MFers?

2 MFs is enough IMO but we need them urgently, this window or the summer. Maybe another 1 or 2 in the future when Hendo, Fab and Thiago are finished but they probably have another few seasons left.

I don't think Mount would be expensive, Chelsea need to reduce the size of their squad and he only has 18 months left on his contract. I assume he'd need to be paid a big wage which would be expensive and could have an effect on the other players wage demands.

The only way we benefit in this tranfer window is if other clubs show an interest in brightons best  players and they drop them. Didnt work with trossard but might with the other lad

Will Mount be a free transfer this summer? If so I could see how pulling Jude for a 120m or so and Mount on a free could be looked at as paying ā€œreasonableā€ prices for 2 quality mids.

Skriniar has agreed to join PSG in the summer on a free transfer. Another one weā€™ve let get away IMO. Top class CB there for the taking and given the massive inconsistencies and injuries amongst our CBā€™s, think we should have gone for him. Inter apparently want around Ā£17mill for him now or if the club didnā€™t want to pay that then couldā€™ve been for nothing in the summer.

Dunno if the lad is injured right now but, Iā€™m banging the drum for Young Billy Gilmour, ironically plying his trade with Brighton at the mo, heā€™s 21 and a very good player, I think heā€™d be a good fit and a decent shout for Thiagoā€™s position, love us to go get him and nurture him under Thiagoā€™s tutelage, he wouldnā€™t cost a arm or a leg either, not saying heā€™d become a shoe in but we do seriously lack creativity and he ticks all the boxes for me ??

Sander Berge is a decent midfielder - Seen him play a couple of times with my pals at Sheff Utd this season - reminds me of Jan Molby!
Good passer, strong and keeps his head up. Sees it all.  Unfortunately, I wouldn't buy him for us because he doesn't put the hard yards in, never sprints; just cruises around.  When things get tasty he doesn't get stuck in, in spite of his stature.  He'd be a luxury we can't afford in our 3-man MF.

I've only seen him a few times, but from what I remember, I'd say it's a fair assessment.

I just feel like we will do something, and I've been hearing of him linked with us for a while.

Berge would be a good signing to keep us ticking over if we were to get Bellingham and Mount in the summer.

I just googled it and the only report I could find quoted Ā£35m.

For that sort of money we should walk away
