Think Arne will want players in their best positions. We need a tweak nothing much more with young players and injured players being available

This everyday when going to a new club he's not going to reinvent the wheel straight away, everyone will.play in their correct position I don't expect any whacky formations until.he has his feet under the table.

Just saw that Arsenal have agreed terms with Calafiori.  He looks like a gem of a player.  Bummed we didn't pull this off....

I suspect we weren’t that interested in him

And don’t see why Arsenal are going for him with Saliba , Gabriel and Timber there

Trabzonspor is rumored to have offered €5 million for Nat Phillips, which has been rejected.

One if those situations that seems to have been mishandled. Three seasons ago, if my memory serves me right, we were receiving offers between €15 and €20 million. However, we rejected those offers and never gave him enough game time to justify such refusals.

If he's not fitting into the squad most game days, then we should just let him go and invest the money elsewhere. We could have used reinforcements in other areas of the squad. Instead, now we're being offered €5 million, which seems about right for a player who hasn't had significant playing time in three years.

I feel bad for the lad.

Yes bad for Nat, but shocking from the club management

& to compound the misery we've now rejected a 5m bid becaaaaaaause we're still waiting on that 15m we value him at that's never going to come?

I get not every decision revolving around players at the club is going to be favourable to the fans, but this seems like it is or should've been a fairly straight forward call.

Take the good with the bad. For the amount if times we sold off a player for a tidy profit there are some players we end up holding on to longer then we should in hindsight. Do feel for the player though his loan spells haven't helped him out, either way difficult situation to be in.

Saw this and apparently very talented but Chelsea do already have a lot of talented academy players who do not make it…

Anyone heard more about this player?

So that's now 1 youth player from Wolves and 2 from Chelsea we've signed, great. Our u18/21s should be a lot of fun to watch next season.

Now any chance we can sign some bredrins for the first team?

      What’s the rush ?

Surely you have to give the new manager time to assess the current squad and see what’s needed

Really!! Look at the euros look at Copa America. Look how many LFC players are playing in the final stages of each competition. Top quality youth is the pathway to the first team long may it continue.

Khephren Thuram off to Juve by the looks of things, €25m. One we were linked with last summer I believe. Wonder if that says anything about whether we are looking in that area.

We have too many numbers and it’s clear to see

Too many players who are decent and not the level we need. I expect us to sell one before buying

Eg selling a cm before buying one or selling a forward before buying one as our squad is a bit inflated

For example we have 4 cbs already, 2 rb and 2 lb, if we are buying a cb, then someone on the current squad will get no games unless we play with 3 cb. Thats why I would think we are letting others buy cbs imo

Our squad is about where it needs to be in terms of quantity, & if anything we are a little short on experience in some areas. We need to make more use of the loan system for the U21s who haven't yet fully experienced PL football and I don't think keeping them around with the u21s does them much good either.

      As of today this is how I see our current squad looking (asterisk indicating homegrown);

      Alisson, Kelleher*, Jaros*
Trent*, Bradley*, Gomez*, Quansah*, SVDB*, Konate, Virgil, Tsimikas, Robertson
Endo, Bajcetic, Morton*, Mac, Jones*, Grav, Szobo, Harvey*
Salah, Nunez, Jota, Gakpo, Diaz, Carvalho*

26 players there (not including Nat or Rhys as they are 1 foot out the door) 11 whom are homegrown. 9 of those 26 players are 22 or younger.

Gomez and Jones, maybe Kelleher if he wants out are the players I'd be looking at to cash in on. Don't see any being anymore than rotational players, then adding a CB and RW.

In my opinion cashing in Gomez would be crazy.

Can play multiple positions and that profile of player helps get you over the line for a league title

Gomez and Jones aren’t going anywhere

Kelleher might be looking to leave to become no 1 somewhere

Fringe players like Phillips etc will be sold on

Some of the young lads will prob get a loan

And I can see two younger additions

The squad isn’t in a bad place right now - Bacjetic coming back is key , Van Der Berg will be given a chance

There is potential there won’t be much bought

Other then CDM (I don't want to see Alexis playing back there unless it is emergency basis)  I agree number wise we are at capacity for a rest of the positions.

With Slot coming in I am interested to see if he has an idea on who he likes or not or wipe the slate clean and give everyone a season to show they deserve to be in the squad. I am thinking the later and why I don't have too high expectations for the season (top 4 and cup run) because it is going to take time for him to figure out what players work in his system and likewise for the players to adjust to Slot's system.
