If he performs better than Zubi, he starts. If not, he doesn't. Don't mean to sound flippant, but that's how it pans out for me. Just like folk are saying Zubi doesn't start ahead of Grav right now. It's all down to the performance they put in.
Edit: I think they play different midfield roles so take the above with a pinch of salt.
Szoboszlai won't be competing for the Zubimendi position.
Gravenberch won't be competing for the Zubimendi position.
As it stands the player that is playing out of position for the benefit of the team is Mac Allister.
If Zubimendi is signed, that's where he goes.
Then it's Mac Allister or Szoboszlai in the AM role.
