Highly unlikely that this guy is ever going to throw his toys out the pram (Stroller for our US constituents) and walk away from the fourth most valuable football club on the planet. This club is almost certainly the zenith of his career...it's all downhill after us.

I never said Slot will throw his toys out the pram or stroller.. but he may question what he has signed up for.

But he ain’t a magician & the best players he inherited are aging.

I don’t know by some of you get your snatch in a twist when recruitment is called for, you know a couple of players here and there just to maintain our form to stay at the top..

We are struggling with CB’s at present, we are royally fu**ed if Virgil is injured..season derailed.

We will sign players though that's why I'm not overly bothered.

The area I would be looking for a player this window would be CB. Not so much because of numbers (it is our shortest area but still, with 4 CBs + Endo we should probably be ok, even if Konate n Joe are a bit injury prone). But more because I just don't think we could win the league if Virg got injured, and we've got such a great opportunity this year we should really do everything we can to make it happen.

So if a real top CB was available, I'd go for him. Wouldn't have to be left side of CB, in fact ideally he could play on the right alongside Virg for a couple of years. It would give us insurance against Virg getting injured, plus against the possibility of him leaving in the summer, and hopefully be a long term replacement (again not necessarily on the left). And it would strengthen our defence for this season's title tilt.

Course there aren't many players of the top calibre around and even less so in the Jan window. But I would hope we'd be interested if somebody was available.

Funnily enough it's Mexicans they're about to start throwing out of their strollers.

Yeh we should have our eyes peeled for a CB it is our most vulnerable position.  The new boss doesn't rate young Quansah as high.  He is young and will hopefully be mustard.  But this title opportunity we have injury problems with Konate and Gomez is already out for a while, we really need a Centre back like you say right sided that can play both positions.

We need another quality midfielder too!

That’s what you thought I implied.

The Boss has been tipping his hat to Klopp at every opportunity for leaving behind the structure & winning mentality, If Slot believes he can’t manage the expectations by not having the right personal to continue the success he will simply leave.

Madness that this talk is even happening when wee top of the league, top in Europe and semi finals of the League Cup. Just because a few people aren't happy we haven't signed yet more footballers

If we are below midtable at end of December I would be not happy but I could be fine and never talk of reinforcement.

I don't see us buying anyone this window, especially not in the CB Department.

The Boss has already proved to FSG that Grav and now Endo can Slot (pun intended) in seamlessly to that position and not look one bit out of place.

That just smacks of the 2020/21 situation where we didnt have enough centre backs, had to play midfielders there which in turn weakened the midfield. I dont want to see endo and grav trying to 'do a job' at centre half, weakening our midfield options, because we dont have enough centre backs.

The reality is of the 4 we have only 1 is currently in shape to play. Thats not ideal when going for a title.

Lack of spending and refusing to deal with issues has cost us trophies , cost us at least one title in recent years. They never learn. But they come not to spend.

With city struggling (now being fixed) this is a big chance to win no20. The cracks are appearing and it seems like once again there is nothing to spend and we will just sit on our hands when its clear as day a centre back, a midfielder and a no9 are needed.

The excuses in may when the title has gone because we didnt have the squad will be interesting. Are they going to blame fsg, or are they going to blame slot. Will be the latter no doubt.

CB and CM are areas of concern for me. We have bodies there but not quality or players that Slot trusts.

If Van Dijk or Gravenberch get injured our season will fall apart so in my opinion we should be doing business in those positions and left back concerns me as well. Not saying we have to sign three this month but doing nothing is naive in my opinion.

I don’t buy the argument that we shouldn’t sign players as it may disrupt the squad. In January 2018 we signed Van Dijk and that took us to a CL final and in January 2022 we signed Diaz who revitalised us (and Mane in particular) to get us within a whisker of a quadruple.

A better side than he was coaching last season, hence the no panic on signings

Why are we that desperate for players

See some of those young players on show at Anfield today, yeah F**k them getting a chance. "sign some F***ing players!!"

I'd have Danns before Nunez right now. I really do like Nunez but I don't see where we go from here. We might have to cash in on him.

Not sure we need a CB though. Surely with a fit Virg, Jomez, Konate, and Quansah, we're good. I wonder if it looks a lot worse than it is because three of those four recently picked up injuries.

We have Bradley to step into Trent's shoes, but Robbo's loss of form is a concern. LB needs strengthening because I don't think Kostas is up to it. Not consistent enough.

Rio Ngomoha is nowhere near ready for the first team. Very obvious he's got bags of ability, but he's still learning how to be a team player. Two more seasons, perhaps.

Nyoni isn't going to break into the first team this season either, nor do I think he'll be on the bench more often than not. At least not this season.

Tyler Morton is on the cusp and looks like a good player. But Slot hasn't used him from the bench, so I doubt he'll feature much this season.

Still, it's fresh legs you need to run all day, they fit the bill.

Can Kvartshvelia pkay on the right or through the middle?

Also, El Hadji Dioufs son, Malick, is apparently on our radar. LB at Slavik Prague

He looks PSG bound I know but it's interesting that Kvaratskhelia is desperate to leave Napoli despite them being top of the league.
