I've said it previously but we need to take into account the 25 man rule.

Next season, if they're here, Bradley, Elliott and Quansah will all need to be registered so there's three spots taken up already. Though they could easily take the homegrown spots left vacant by Hill (already sold), Trent (expected to leave on a free) and Kelleher (expected to be sold)

Gotta assume the new keeper will be registered as well, which would take our tally up to 23 players. We'd have to leave a place empty for not registering 8 homegrown players unless of course we bring someone in who fills that quota.

So in order to give us some wiggle room in the transfer market, we're gonna have to sell first (cue to the FSG hatred posts) or hope and pray that Salah & Van Dijk leave (cue more FSG hatred posts) to free up some space in the squad otherwise, we're only gonna be able to register one new player at the start of next season (cue more FSG hatred posts)

There should be plenty of room no? Let's assume Trent, Virg and Mo stay. If Kelleher moves on for first team football as expected, and Kostas, Chiesa and Darwin, are sold/loaned out, as is likely, then that gives us 4 spaces to play with to make 25 and we'd still have 8 homegrown (Jaros,Trent,Joe,Curtis,Morton,Bradley,Harvey,Quansah). Then there is a huge list of U21s which we could add to with some development signings.

But that goes back to what I said mate, we’d have to sell before we can buy.

I think everyone knows that summer is going to be a busy one this year with plenty of players moving on.

I'm sure if the will is there to spend from the club Hughes and the gang can figure it out.

Arne will want to start putting his own stamp on the squad whatever we win or don't win this year.

I think that the squad will probably not get bigger in quantity but we all want to continue improving the quality of the players (it's obviously difficult to improve on quality when we are comfortably winning the league but there is always room for improvement).

I think it will mainly be 1 out, 1 in. If we buy a new LB Tsimikas will probably leave. If we buy a new midfielder Endo will probably leave. If we buy a centre forward Nunez (or maybe Jota) will leave.

I think that CB is probably the only area where we need to add a new player without selling. At the start of next season I'd like us to have Virgil, Ibou, Quansah and a new CB while also keeping Gomez as a backup covering all the defensive positions.

On the homegrown quota; Doak could stay in the squad next season as a homegrown player.

Wouldn't need registering as he'd still be u-21.

Also not sure if he qualifies as homegrown, though I think he will when it's time to register him. I know Robbo doesn't because he wasn't at an English club for a certain amount of time before he reached a certain age but I think Doak will pass that when the time comes.

Just reading this, probably BS but would take him if Lucho wants to go to Barca.

Liverpool are preparing an offer for AC Milan’s Rafael Leao in the summer!

Jaros is also out of contract at the end of the season if I am not mistaken.

Where did the 85m figure come from? That's ridiculous. That Kvara guy cost less and he's some player.

It was from transfermarket.   Not saying it’s correct of course.   That’s why I put it in quotes 😂.

Yeh with the new 11 players we will win 2 League titles in one season!   :lmao: :lmao:

On a serious note it all depends on the out goings if we keep the 2 Legends we won't need that much.   Arne needs to have more players that he can trust with rotation.

      Tbh realistic

2 fb with Trent leaving and a lb leaving
1 cb with Gomez or quansah leaving
      1 cm
1 attacker with Nunez and chiesa leaving

      That’s 5

If vvd and Salah leave then add in an extra

I’d also like us to sell jota and bring in an additional attacker

Chelsea already spending. New winger incoming from Sporting. Dont know much about him. We need a new wide forward ... really hope edwards and hughes have done their work and this summer is straightforward and done quickly.

I think some on here will be really surprised by the amount we do this summer and I think there will be a shock couple of departures in there too (not counting the three key players we haven’t signed up yet).

Do you mean shocked because you think we will do more business than some expect, or less? I reckon we will make 4 significant 1st team signings, although if we lose more than one of Trent, Virg and Mo then all bets are off. I think if Mo leaves there's a high chance we go for Isak.

If I were to guess.....there will be fewer outgoings than people think and probably fewer incomings as well. Just a feeling I have, I hope I'm wrong because I think we need some fresh players but I also understand that it could be a challenge to integrate say 5 or more new faces into a team that is (hopefully) going to win the title.
