Three weeks International break

In this three international break, Klopp will use them as pre-season. It will be a foundation for the rest of the campaign. Will we push hard to reach top 4 and continue to advance in the Champions League.

These are three very important weeks for the team. I hope that we won't lose players due to injury or quarantine. I would not let players travel if they will require self-isolation.

We will study our UCL opponent in detail from next Friday.

I never was so happy to be in the International period.

Its not a 3 weeks international break though.

1) Free this weekend due to FA cup, players are all training Klopp said.

the footi is very gash most of the time, but if your out with mates or just at home with a few pals round watching the game it doesnt matter. Still supporting the country no matter how gash we are.

Saying that, I wont be out with mates this time round due to covid, but whatsapp groups are lively.

I am actually excited to see some US friendlies (assuming i remember to turn on the game) as we finally have a good young core to build around.

Normally I hate the long breaks without footy, but this time, not bothered.
Whether we come back improved remains to be seen, am done making predictions for this crazy season.
Jota's not long back, so hopefully he can improve even more and Fab can spend more time training in the middle of the pitch.
Maybe the rest will help Bob and we might see him getting back in the side.
Top4 is still possible, but need to start putting wins together as soon as we're back playing to have any chance.

Some of them having to play three times is just asking for trouble injury wise and all the travel whilst we're still not over the pandemic just seems a bit daft. At least we've got a Sunday game after it but knowing our luck this season we're sure to return for Arsenal with another one or two on the injury list.

It's not a three week break at all. They were all in training and playing against each other at the weekend.

It's a 2.5 week break from playing first team games only, a "winter break" of sorts. Certainly lots of training time for Jürgen which he always wants more of. Some of them will be playing for their national teams and have no real break at all, but it's less players away than usual.

That's a massive risk if he plays for Holland,no way will VVD be match fit to play that amount of games in a short space of time.Jürgen wants him to miss the euros so he can do a proper pre-season with us which i think is right.VVD needs to think with his head and not his heart.

Understand VVD wants to play for his country for a major championship, especially as he does not have many left. He would not be at his best though and it's such a risk to his injury without a pre season. Torres really screwed his knee playing for Spain because he rushed back. Let's just hope VVD is a machine and dosnt kill his career. Probably thinks it's a calculated risk as most people do at the time.

Summer tournaments every couple of years are something I look forward to as they usually involve a pub.

The rest of international football is of next to no interest to me, and probably a massive ballache for all the players who probably wished they had a 'minor knock' and were ruled out.

Watching Internationals without the benefit of pints and a bit of banter, I started to notice the football was a bit, kind of sh*te.

To be fair, I think it's more a case of teams cancelling each other out, and the lack of preparation time means the players are not as at home in different systems.

I know fans think that players should prioritise getting ready to play Fulham and Southampton over facing France and Spain, but for players it's not that simple. The South Americans have the most demanding trips of all, but they're still willing to do it, several times a year. International travel for club and country is an unavoidable part of the job if you want to play at the highest level.

VVD has had a long term bad injury.it's got nothing to do with prioritising club games,if he comes back for us in April playing in the first team which is unlikely then sure he should be ready for the euros otherwise it's a big risk.

Does anyone have a list of players who won't be involved in internationals?  I saw that TAA will not be with the England team.  I'm assuming Nat won't be going anywhere.  Anyone know about Robbo and Kabak?  What about the Brazilians -- Ali, Fab, and Bob?  It would be amazing if we could have our back 4 train together for a couple weeks to get comfortable with each other during this break.  Even better if Ali and/or Fab were able to take part.  We might be able to develop a stable defensive foundation for the run in.
