As much as I think the FA could do better.... AFCON is just like some inferior version. Like comparing the premier league to the Sunday league.

I agree Bob. Sooner our lads come home the better, no doubt players will disagree because it’s their state but it does nothing for us fans of our domestic league.  :f_doh:

Hope Sadio is okay. Under normal protocols he probably gets 10 days or something if he's showing signs of a concussion. Doubt that will happen though as under normal protocols he's not sent back on in the first place.

      Has VAR ruined the AFCON?

      Yes from me.

Hillsborough? They sent everyone to that death trap. It just happened to be us as a club that suffered. But talking of now; the FA are not as bad as AFCON. They really are a shambles.

Final against Italy would suggest you're talking out of your arse and that was only last summer.

Ooh yes. But I wasn’t just talking about crowd issues/tragedies.

It’s more the incident where the referee ended the game early. Then ended not quite so early. Only for match officials to tell the teams to get back playing for a third time when half the players were in ice baths...

Or mane being knocked out and then staying on the pitch....

Or that team being forced to play without a keeper. Now I get rules are rules but during challenging times they could have used common sense.

Iv actually enjoyed the tournament. It’s fun to see how world class players are mixing with teammates who wouldn’t get into my local Nags Head team on a Sunday but some of the things going on are just easily preventable.

Hahahaha I love how wool towns still have a "Nags Head" I would have thought Tim Martin would have shut it down for one of his sh*t Wethers Gastro hellholes by now.

"[Yacine Benlamnouar] Seconds before the press conference for the Burkina Faso vs Tunisia match, someone got on stage, grabbed the mic and cables, and ran away! It later turned out that the CAF organising committee had rented this equipment from him and had not paid him."

You couldn't make this sh*t up... This tournament is a gift that keeps on giving. The whole African continent deserves so much better.

Fooked if I know why our top players choose to play in a competition that’s ran like Sunday league football. Come to think of it I think that’s ran better.
