Liverpool employ 809 people through the club

24 of those people get paid Ā£140mil basic wage - those 24 all have contracts that allow them multiple levels of incentives and bonuses

The other 780 staff members will cover the rest of wage bill - the included managers , coaches ,scouts , admin staff etc

And they will also be on some level of bonuses

We are lead to believe the highest wage bill is all on players wagesā€¦.

I guess all 800 employees have lucrative contractsā€¦

Don't know about anyone else but I'm not sure I've ever said that?

Anyway I would imagine when all other clubs reports their wages they will have similar amount of non playing employees so still will be relative to any conversation about comparing ours with another club

Just had a quick look as curiosity got the better of me.

      Chelsea's last accounts:

      818 total employees

      Ā£333M in total wages.

Si, any chance you can put up a like for like player wages for us & Chelsea?

I know that our players are in low salary but heavily back with heavy incentives to push up salariesā€¦

Really don't know how accurate but this is the closest I could find.

      https://www.spotrac.com/epl/payroll/

      Man United - Ā£228M
      Chelsea.        Ā£163M
      City.                Ā£142M
      Liverpool.      Ā£141M

This year salary's for playing staff and is an estimate.

      Thanks mateā€¦👍🏼

Be interesting to know how much out of the remaining went on player bonuses..

Because i donā€™t think playerX would expect Ā£500,000 pw if he was earning  that with bonusesā€¦

I'm pretty sure at least Lukaku and Werner are both on higher wages than Mo Salah...which makes no sense.

It doesn't but I'd imagine we've offered Mo a contract that takes him above those two.

      Just a hunch.

The club made a loss in the accounts - we spent more than we earned during that financial year
How can you make a loss in the accounts on money you didnā€™t have ,

That's the whole thing isn't it? I'm glad they came along when they did and helped to right the ship so to speak, but even then there was no secret what was happening in world football. They naively thought FFP would create a level playing field but they underestimated the amount of corruption that's rampant in the sport. They got lucky with Klopp becoming available so they did what any ownership would have done and snapped him up. They caught lightning in a bottle and Klopp has created a winning mentality and a deadly team, but unfortunately he's playing against a stacked deck and if/when he decides to go, I'm not sure where that leaves us if FSG isn't willing to figure out a way to increase revenue so they can compete financially, or figure out how to work around the rules to allow us to go blow for blow with City spending wise. So like you said, if you can't or aren't willing to figure out a way to compete with the richer clubs, then step aside and helps us find someone that will.

I hope JĆ¼rgen stays beyond 2024 but I doubt he will. 2 years will soon roll round. And then we are in trouble.

Think that point is about how Moores personally funded part of the Dirk Kuyt deal that brought him to the club. A get that's whats getting hinted at in the top tweet.

I wished Moores held on a bit longer before selling to H&G & sold only 49% stake in the club to investorsā€¦

DCI would have been the ideal partnersā€¦.
