Liverpool withdraw from proposed European Super League

Liverpool Football Club needs to make an official statement that they will be snubbing this potential breakaway league.

They don't need to say anything, just sit back keep your powder dry and watch the room.

IMO, one way or another this will happen, it’s just a matter of when, and when it does, depending on the structure and what’s left behind we will have no choice but to join.

If the top teams migrate to the ESL, we’re not going to stay behind and play in a league of Bournemouth, Soton, Everton, etc.

Don't be facetious, the broad point is many/most so called big names are created in the media for it's own sake. Supporters, those people who watch games and understand it, support the club, not any specific player, regardless of their often deserved status. If clubs are stupid enough to go down the path of recruiting so called "Big" named players, like Man U. and Chelsea have in recent years.... then that's their loss...evidently.

Your post misses the whole point about the way modern football is now money driven and the better players cost a lot of money and that money needs to come from somewhere. The better the player the more they will cost as a package
