Honestly sounds to me like he's saying they are losing 4 quality players and they must be replaced with quality. Don't think it's earth shattering. Virgil has also come out and said similar.

Players aren't robots, they have opinions. It is what it is. Time for LFC to get moving on some transfers innit?

I do agree he's stating the obvious, but when we are broadcasting that we need midfielders like this. Other clubs try to play hardball. Not that they wouldn't anyways. I just think our players need to be more savvy when doing interviews. Don't they train the guys on this stuff?

Agree. While they are free to speak their mind, i am generally not a fan when they come out and basically say "my teammates, especially the young ones, aren't good enough, so we need to bring new ones in". His statement about young players isn't exactly a confidence builder for players like Elliott and Bajcetic.

Besides, he is missing Gakpo who was clearly Bobby's replacement.

I see he's called for more new signings and gave Fenway and the boys a little warning shot about our chances next season if we don't.

Some will tell him to stay in lane. Its not ideal he felt he needed to say it but it probably did need saying.

Captains and leaders don't throw their teammates under the bus saying they're not good enough. You don't hear Hendo making those kind of statements about our youth, do you?

I don't think either of these things establish him as a leader. It just establishes him as a human that has an opinion. Klopp would probably he rather not talk about transfer business but I highly doubt there will be any kind of sanction or anything. It's much ado about nothing really.

Gotta love that Chamberlain gets slated all season then it's simply vital to replace him when he barely made the squad at times.

Said in another thread that another one CM alongside Kevin could transform the midfield. Also when you add Trents new role and Curtis Jones progression.

I'd be content enough with 2CM and 1 CB this summer and maybe a wildcard free or young player.

Id say 1 more quality MF and a new CB and were looking pretty good, squad refreshed with new chaps and some youth.

Ox was dead last in the depth chart, so i would like his spot to go to a youngster like Morton, add the emergence of Bajcetic and i think if we get another quality midfielder in his mid 20s we'll be ready to go in that area of the field.

fortunately Jürgen is the one who will decide not some one of a forum. Not only do we need to replace the bodies who have left they need to be so much better quality. Bobby, Naby,Ox,Millie, even the mysterious player who came in on loan and cost a fortune needs to be replaced so far we have one quality signing but the window has only just opened so we need to be patient.

I think Ox and Keita were always quality players when fit. Unfortunately neither has been fit enough for regular football at LFC level for a long time.

Good that him and Virgil are vocal but it's only really saying what we know,
Firmino, Ox, Keita & Milner (and Arthur) gone.
Squad went from 30 - 25 players with them leaving.
There's a sizeable hole in the squad there that needs a least 4 players.
Which is why Virgil said he was happy with Mac Allister arriving but said "It's a start".

One of my favourite players right now, on and off the pitch.

Absolute beast on the field and a gentle teddy bear off it, you can tell his team mates absolutely love him.
